Department of Transport reviews
76 Went there for vehicle transfer but staff was rud and they judge me as a fraud.
I had told them about the dealer if accepting there fault on there letter pad.
Even after looking at the letter they don't want to help.
If useless was a place it would be the mirrabooka DOT.
Waiting 30 minutes in line in the sun before being told that the line is too long and they won't be able to get us in before closing time.
What a joke.
I had my PDA test in this centre after having having a result in another centre which was very close to being passed. For sure this is the worst DOT for PDA. The worst result I could have even imagined to get was from here. Absolutely a nightmare.
The assessor smiles at you to pretend to be friendly but from the beginning he is mostly just looking at his tablet to put crosses for failing you in each part.
I have been driving for more than 10 years but he gave me the result with failing in all parts!
Don’t ever book PDA here
Absolutely disgusted! A sign on the door says due to covid restrictions, no more than 40 people are allowed inside this establishment. The rest MUST stand outside in a queue in 38 degrees with no shade or offer of sunscreen or water. This is INHUMANE. There were elderly and people with children and prams all having to do this, not even a seat offered to them. The front doors were being physically locked an unlocked by one staff member allowing people to enter. The staff were unsympathetic, sarcastic and spoke over me when I said that it was simply not right and unfair. I was told by staff “you should see it when it’s 40 degrees, we hear this all the time” and that they have asked for shade yet none has been provided. This is not the customers problem, the customers health and safety is your priority, wouldn't it make more sense to hand out masks and allow everyone inside provided they are wearing them. What you are doing is wrong, no matter how you justify it. A formal complaint will be made.
This 5 stars is for Jane at the front door/reception. What a friendly, welcoming and happy person! I sat down whilst waiting and just observed her interactions with people, what an absolute asset to Mirrabooka DOT
Went today with paper work in hand and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly and efficient the process was. The lady at the front door is very friendly and welcoming. She treats the customers very well and explains all the procedures to each person. I only waited a few minutes and was sent to the next available teller. I was treated very well, had everything explained, was entitled to a rebate on my driver’s licence (though was not there for that) and it all was handles professionally and quickly. The staff at this centre (Mirrabooka) are to be congratulated. It is a busy centre and the staff work very hard to make the process easy and effortless.
In this difficult situation nowadays, due to pandemic, we should let DOT to open on Saturdays at least for four hours. I work a full time job, Monday to Friday, but I have no time to go and sort out my licensing unless I have a day off work! I find this is ridiculous.
Even though I didn't pass my driving test my assessor Emilio was very helpful and let me and my instructor know what I did wrong.
Mirrabooka department of transport are absolutely horrible my daughter went for her driving test for the 4th time today and failed. Today she had the most horrible examiner he was really quite nasty to her she was totally in tears after she finished her test. I can tell ya she will not be going back again. I give Mirrabooka department of transport a 0 out of 10. We definitely won’t be back again for her driving test. The examiners should hang their heads in shame absolutely disgusting.
Tanya Wheat.
For the amount of money they rake in here they should be able to afford a narrow non intrusive long bench up the ramp for the masses standing outside for hours.
Even though the place is always packed the people behind the counter are always ready to listen to the reason why you are here
Very efficient, friendly, and helpful staff in and out in 5 minutes[visited early in the morning which might have helped].
I found it weird that the rating for this center is low. I've had great service from the staff here, they were friendly and helpful.
Honestly there are some people that go in there thinking if they get their license suspended is all because of the Department of transports fault blah blah grow up and follow the road rules very simple stop blaming the department of transport staff they are only there to do their job not to be verbally abused, and please some people need some rexona spray and shower before going in there.
Shannon helped me over the phone with my PDA enquiries and was extremely helpful and friendly and answered all of my questions perfectly.
An overall positive experience.
Mirrabooka is the worst place on the universe to do your PDA! And those indians soo rude! I failed 3times definitely not going there anymore!
I arrived at 3pm on a Wednesday and was out in half an hour. The front staff helped me with my enquiry and Liz helped me with my transaction and other information. There were 9 counters serving. As I was leaving I noticed a huge influx of people all of a sudden! I would recommend not going in the last hour if you can attend earlier.
Perfect. Waited not even ten minutes and the lady who served me was very nice and understanding. No complaints.
Couldn't give less.
Government body so don't expect much. Waste of taxpayers money. Shame.
The worst place to go. The instructor told me to go faster while there was a drunk man stumbling across the road. I was failed doing my PDA because I didn't turn around fast enough. Went there a second time and was failed on things I had previously past doing it the same way.
