Will's approach by asking if I prefer to chat or stay quiet during the assessment is really interesting. Combined with his friendly nature, it helped to ease the pressure from having a "stranger" looking at the way we drive.
I guess people often fail the test not because they don't know how to drive nor the road rules but the stress / pressure that builds up from the test and having an assessor like Will helps.
Thank you, Will (assessor# 2366).

Rocked up feeling confident as ever as I've been a learner for 2 years! Only to fall flat on my face as soon as I got there. There was tension from the get go as I used my own car to which the assessor could not get over. My scores were all above what they were suppose to and I drove amazingly only to find out she decided to not give me the last exercise in order to fail me. I out this down to money grabbing as usual. Would not recommend cannington at all as even the staff at the desks have no want or time for you. Super unfriendly environment. Go to kelmscott if you want a peace of mind

I passed my PDA yesterday with Will (assessor number 2366). He was very professional and fair with his judgement. He even calmed me down whenever he noticed I was nervous during the test. Thank you so much for this great experience Will!

Very happy to pass my PDA test. Being my first time taking test I was very nervous about my test. My assesssor Will (2366) must have noticed it, so before we start the test he asked me to calm down and take a deep breath and drive which helped me a lot to overcome my nervousness. At the end of the test he also pointed out some minor things that I need to improve to be more safe on roads and while driving. I will always keep those things in mind.
Thank you very much to both Will and DOT cannington.

If your doing your P's Marina is horrible. When I was doing mine here she failed me because I 'hesitated' and waited to long to turn right at the intersections when there was on-coming traffic. She wanted me to goto the middle and wait for the lights to turn red, then make the turn.

I've done two-test here and both instructors where set out to fail you. Don't come 2-4pm because they're most likely very busy.

If there was a zero that's what I would have put as my star rating.
Firstly, my daughter went in to change her NZ license for a W. A one. She didn't have all the necessary paperwork, so they gave her all the information she needed to retrieve it. So, she did exactly what they advised. Sh returned the very next day, with everything they asked of her. Only to be told by a manager she needed to contact NZ licensing department for a document stating what she has completed for her NZ license & if possible, what were her results. So, she proceed to do what they asked of her, rang NZ transport department & retrieve this information immediately. Apon her return the next day with this extra document. Which is her 3rd day in a row, by the way.

On this particular day she met with a real old bag, she has short hair, maybe 55-60 years of age, wore reading glasses & was absolutely horrible to her. Apparently, she threw paperwork at my daughter, telling her what she had as proof of address wasn't good enough & everything else was pretty much irrelevant. All I can say, if you dont like the work you do or the people you see on a daily basis, get to stepping! When I come in there, Ill be coming to see you purposely.

In the end, another service member assisted my daughter with her issue & it was sorted from there. I'm just glad, there are some good workers with in the branch.

It’s normally a really good place, but the employees at the door tend to act up a lot. I was refused service when I tried to book a pda test

Dont trust online data like "the highest pass rate" that shown here has highest pass rate, my wife came here TWICE and both didn't pass because the assessor extremely strict and unreasonable criteria. (In these two time that she even didn't finish the assessment)

Second time when I was waiting in the lobby and I saw assessor finished their assessor with in 30 mins. Only 1 old lady passed her assessment.
Other than that all learners FILLED: If this sounds like you: young or can't speak English very well.
DO NOT COME HERE TO WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME. Because they will pick on you and intend to make you fail as thats how they make money! After that they will ask you to go for a driving school and makes you think that's your faults!
TRUST ME and share your experience!

Over crowded & inefficient. Queue system hard to understand & screen not easy to see. Overcrowded - not good today's covid times. Need better system to control crowd - perhaps with apprx time so some can wait outside or in cars.

Make you queue outside in the rain and cold while the secure civil servants inside take your money. Covid is clear in wa but they still make you queue outside, they have no respect for the general public.

Contacted the department with what I believed was a major issue - Amanda took my call and was brilliant. Her manner and expertise allayed all my concerns. Simply the best.

Waiting in line outside is understandable due to Covid-19 but the long wait inside really needs some fixing Why not keep some other motor registeries open in the area to reduce the wait time.

When I went for my PDA test in Cannington I was nervous it’s human nature that everyone has some kind of nervousness before the exam. I met Gagandeep and he was my assessor for driving test. Before my test he explained me everything without any rush. He made me feel comfortable during my exam time by giving clear direction. Before starting any tasks he explained me very clearly what we are going to do for next step. He was very calm and polite to me during the exam period. Gagandeep is the best assessor in DOT Cannington.

My daughter took her driving test here and had a female assessor who was rather rude and degrading. She commented how my daughter was driving and told her off on the spot when she made a mistake and apparently lectured her too. To give such comments and speech while the test was commencing is rather unfair. Not only distracting but very intimidating.

I am not satisfied with the behaviour of the staff today i went there for my new license but when i went on the counter than there was a lady her name is "Sharan" she did not give me any smile and talking with me rudely. I feel she was doing racism plz avoid her if u are a Migrant in Australia.
