Extremely poor services. Waited two hours then had this racist man serve us at the counter. Told us to find a certificate and come back to him while putting my ticket on hold yet cancelled my ticket and told me to re-queue after I came back to him with the document. After a long time of queuing again I went to him and he won’t serve me. Racist attitudes, avoid this guy. Can't believe how he can afford this job.
One of the most unhuman places I have ever been to two hours of waste the time and they don't even have a public toilet what are people supposed to do they are not animals are public disgrace shame on the government
The lady on counter number 2 needs training as well as her line manager. I went to collect custom plates for the business and they gave me the wrong information. They told me the plate was registered to my name and not the business hence they couldn’t give me the plates. When I told the Manager and the lady that I have been ordering plates for the business for last 5 years they still wouldn’t listen. I had to jump out of the queue not to hold the rest of the people in line and when I got back to office, I found the payment receipt and the receipt was issued to the business with me as the authorised person to collect the plate. Not the first time this has happened. They have in the past taken payment for my licence in person and not renewed my licence. Had to go back in to fix the incompetence.
No toilets for public public spending lot of money there
At least give people online booking instead of waiting long hours
Horrible manager at the ticket machine telling another employee not to help people or to answer questions when it’s busy. That’s pathetic, sometimes the forms are not 100% clear to everyone.
Paid the First and Final account by BPay, as offered on account, and presented with the receipt 2 days later to swap over Plates and was not able as my payment was not yet shown on their system. I was told to come back again! No consideration given for the time and inconvenience of getting there. It is bureaucracy at its worse. Not the fault of the employees but a reflection of government Heads impersonal attitude towards its community.
Bad experience there was an old lady working there and she was rude and like a karen type of thing

These guys are like from Communist government, lengthly paper works processes without any clear instructions. They asked us to do the translation with their recommended service. We did, and when we submitted the translated paper, they denied because it was not stamped on all papers. 1st, they did not mention that when we first came, 2nd, it was their recommended service provider.oh my god, every time we need to do something with these guys, it takes 3 times coming back and forth.
Driving instructors do not assess according to the guidelines. Failed me for basically missing the turn I was supposed to take 20 seconds into the test, and then AFTER taking the wrong turn on to Albany Highway said that I needed to stop at the round about to give way for the person who wasn't at the line yet and wasn't at the roundabout yet (If I would've waited he would have probably failed me for missed opportunity). If I needed to have stopped, he would have intervened, yet waited until AFTER I took the wrong turn to tell me, once he realised it would take a while to get back on route, and probably couldn't be bothered for me to somehow make a U-Turn. He just didn't want to have to turn round on Albany Highway as I 'disobeyed' his requests and he was in a rush probably for his lunch break. Don't book here.
Zero rating for there customer service. It takes ages to be job done. Always have to wait 3 or 4 hours just for simple documentation. No responsibility’s better to go on other service. Zero zero zero zero service
The ladies greeting customers job was made tougher as I think only one of them is competent. The other one thinks a "Bank Card (EFTPOS) " is the same as "Bank Statement" and therefore claims I don't have enough number of proof to satisfy the requirement. I got better instructions with the other lady but she was so stretched and trying to go through the line as quickly as possible that she was exasperated when I asked if there are printing facilities nearby. Firstly, in this day and age when we get estatements from most entities, I had a hard time understanding why can't they accept softcopies. But nevermind, I tried to fulfil the archaic requirement anyway and as she said there was just down the road, I walked with my 5 year old only to discover it was 1.5 km away. Anyway, I decided to leave the place and try another time with another DOT office with better reviews.
Please avoid if you are in Rush. I was waited for almost 1hr to my turn for my interstate license transfer later I went to counter there one old lady around in her early 50s she asked for my all proofs and I was less with one proof. She had less patience. Later, she said I don’t have a spare minute to spend with that. Again, I got new ticket in queue waited again for 1hr to finish my process. My suggestion go for other DOT’s in Perth this one so busy and few staff are not friendly in this office.
I’m reviewing in comparison to other government services. Even though it’s a complete pain since they’ve now repurposed a much nearer centre, I’ve used Cannington several times over the last year and found them to be quite efficient so long as all your paperwork is in order. The staff are quite helpful and I’ve never had a problem with a number of different matters. Being our archaic government it’s probably not going to happen in my lifetime, but hopefully in the future they’ll reconsider the opening hours to allow better access, that or join us in the 21st century by brushing up on what exactly can be done online which at the moment is pretty limited.
Only 5 tellers out of 20 operating exceptionally slow service. Plan to spend the day there.
The only old lady at quick counter, know nothing about DOT and why she’s sitting there.

This is one unorganised company we go there daily and the rules change depending on the person behind the desk. We are sick of dealing with untrained staff it holds up businesses for far too long. We don’t mind the wait as we all know we are all busy but dealing with people that don’t know there job is an issue. Have one set of standards and keep to them.
There should be an appointment system. You can get an appointment at home via Website and go to DOT tomorrow. It saves time
The worst experience and customer service you can get, with +2 hours wait time. The Asian Lady at the door is very rude, Terrible service.
Cant use toilets anymore here when we visit dot.toilets are basic necessities.people could have emergencies and will have to use toilet then what? Please close your dot center. So poorly managed
