Department of Transport reviews
72 Arrived at 3.45pm and waited in line for half an hour. Wasn't told until 4.15pm that there were too many people and we wouldn't be served.
Was told only 6 people were working, despite lines being this long all day, every day.
Went 2 March 2021 to Department of Transport (DOT) West Perth branch as DOT website would not allow me to do my transaction online. What a disaster. One hour and 10 minutes later was finally served. 16 client booths however only 6 staff serving. If DOT was run by the private sector it would be out of business. To management, please jump on the other side of the counter to have an understanding of how your department runs. I bet changes will be made pretty quick smart.
A disgrace the govt of wa should be ashamed of itself you have people lined up in the carpark waiting for ages to see someone and dont try calling the departmemt you will be waiting for hours.
Ridiculous wait times 3 hours.
Staff inside are friendly, only good thing about the place.
Long queues.understaffed.very slow. Took me nearly 2 hours to get my driver's license renewal done. I don't blame staff. But something needs to be done to improve their service. Lots more staff maybe?
It's a Thursday morning. Big queue out into the car park. Eventually it moved promptly enough but by then it had doubled in length behind me. Parking is not free, so if it takes too long there is risk of getting a ticket
The one in Mirrabooka is bigger, has more seats, has TV's if you get bored, less of a queue, less of a wait time and has nicer staff.
Customer service very helpful, waiting Times Was good.
I read other people’s reviews shows there very impatient want everything done fast get online account and stay home if that’s thats the case
Wow, if only minus stars was an option.long waits, no help at all, rude - just to name a few.if you want a job at DOT, send a blank resume with a crayon drawing of a car and you'll be manager in a year
The officer there recommend me remove my mask due to people may think I am sick when wearing a mask. How naive she is? Obviously wearing a mask can prevent yourself being infected, and if you are a asymptomatic infection you don’t know you are ill wearing a mask can also protect others. To be a responsible person ok? Totally can’t understand the logic behind of asking me take off my mask.
I GOT A PARKING FINE!
Not their fault. I missed the signs. Service was great.
One star is for letting the car park fall into private hands for profiteering.
In front of a government office that the public regularly needs.
I came in to do my HPT with guidance from one of the friendly staff at the centre Mel, who was such a delight! She was reassuring, supportive and helped to calm my nerves while taking the test- and she definitely gave me the luck that helped me pass! Thanks for everything Mel- you're a legend!
Following on from a terrible experience at DoT Canningvale, I went to my 'local' DoT center at West Perth. I arrived pretty annoyed based on my experience at Canningvale but knew that I'd get top service at West Perth. I wasn't dissappointed. Wait time was very short. After providing the required paperwork and explaining what I needed. The lady who assisted me knew exactly what needed to be done and had me sorted out in just minutes. Why I ended up arguing with staff in Canningvale vs a lovely experience in West Perth must have something to do with location. I've never had a bad experience at the West Perth DoT office. The staff are lovely, helpful and polite. The opposoite can be said for Cannington.
I have been visiting this City West branch for the past nearly 8 years on and off and to be honest the service I have received is good but one Staff stands out in customer service and that staff is Mia. She is very down to earth and a genuine person and on top of that very polite and always smiling even when she is stressed and depressed. I hope we have more person like Mia in customer service. Good work Mia.
Got my international licence transferred to a WA license in less that 30 minutes in total, very quick and good service
One of the driving instructor was so rude to myself and my son.never coming back here absolutely disgusting.
Staff very friendly, WA Gov please hire more staff i dislike waiting for an hour to see someone
What fantastic service we got at cubicle 11 on Monday! Never known for good service in the past, the Licensing Dept have turned the corner. It was impressive and the lady bend over backwards to help. Bouquet to you
Received outstanding service from the polite and helpful staff at this centre with vehicle transfers when buying and selling cars
Always a great service never had to wait no longer than 30mins in and out! Recommended d.o. T probably the best in Perth! Great staff and easy to park located just outside entrance.
