Waiting almost 3 hours two times here and they seem not willing to help you or don’t hear your words. They don't care how long you waited for or how urgent you are.really impatient treated in Counter 13.start with hoping a wonderful day before and end with awful from here

I have to say i am really shocked for a city with so much money to have such terrible brand of transport centres. By the time I got there today at 10am, the wait time was already 2 hrs, with lots of people having to wait outside in the heat, for lack of space indoors. Having said that, the fluro lighting inside is so harsh I could feel it sucking my soul from my eyeballs, and the stale smell that slaps you nostrils when you walk in, is like a dirty sweaty foot in a sandal. I could barely stay 2 mins, I felt extremely sorry for the employees working there and everyone else that had to wait in-line. Conditions were terrible.

Note: there are no public toilets here, so not only will they will make you wait but too bad if you try to stay hydrated in that sweat box!

I'm shook. Because it kind of looked like a new-ish development too. Whomever the minister for transport is, they need to go to Sydney and look at the service centres there. They are like a day spa in comparison.

There is lots of paid parking in and around the centre, which is helpful. But I won't come back to this centre - not that that would shorten the wait times at all.

Simple plate swap with all paperwork ready to go

Every time a worse service. It is impossible to get a turn to give the practical assessment. Before you could make an appointment online at any time, now only by calling by phone, which they never answer.

What a joke. Have gone 2 times and both times the queue over 1hr long, and at one point they boot you out as soon as the queue goes beyond their opening hours. If they weren't providing an essential service (private function) you could say fine, I will go elsewhere. The management and government need to step up. By their own processes, not everything can be done online. Either add staff, improve processes or open longer hours. Change something. What a joke. I feel for the staff, though if you dont provide feedback, nothing will ever change.
Even sadder given that they can take a leaf out of the book of other states and see how things can be done better. Open some hours on saturday, have more staff, amalgamate services (like Service NSW) and provide more online options. All options that DOT is ignoring.
I would give them 0 stars, if the staff weren't at least helpful when you do finally get to speak to one. Hence the 2 stars.

My experience was superb. Ciara was who took care of me and from the beginning to the end the whole process was an enjoyment. For the record I had to transfer an interstate license. Thanks Ciara.

I tried to get the number plate 666POO and was denied due to the inconsistencies in what DOT will and won't approve and their discrimination against me for both my religious beliefs and my love of poopin'.

Appalling wait times 2hrs how does the ticket system work? People In and Out within 15mins others waiting for over 2hrs one person was waiting for over 3hrs with no explanation as to why except the old short of staff line customer service was good though

I go to the Department of Transport in the City every 3 months to pay my car registration. Although I can use my credit card instead instead of going to the city. But while in that area I decide to go in person and pay. Although there were lots of people already there, i said to my self that at least I have to wait for one hour and half like before. But one of the staff asked the reason I was there. She gave me a ticket number and pointed to a desk that was close to me. There were 3 people in front of me. 5 minutes later or less I was paying. So I said to the staff WOW whoever decided to make this change Give my congratulation.

DOT west Perth is fast and efficient and surprisingly friendly! Very different to what I was expecting and surpasses the one in Cannington.

Went for my PDA a week ago and was very organised. Was able to wait outside for my test as it was by appointment. There was plenty of parking, nearby public bathrooms and a small cafe. My tester was very nice as well, straightforward instructions and he easy to understand. From what i observed everything else inside was very organised as well. Still a long wait for most things but that’s expected for any location.:)

Park at SciTech for free, a very short walk to DOT. Friendly and helpful service as soon as you walk in. A very short wait time. I was in and out within 15 minutes. I was there having my license and photo renewed. Staff were friendly and personable.

Excellent experience. Ample paid parking outside with a WC too. Organised ticket number system. Sudha was on hand to help with any initial questions. She was very knowledgeable and generous with her time. Hetal handled my application with efficiency, care and professionalism. Thank you to both of you- you made this an easy experience! Bravo.

DO NOT take your PDA test here! Assessor 2442 is arrogant, mumbles and has such a heavy accent I could not understand anything. As soon as I saw how miserable he was, I could tell I drew the short end of the stick. I went TWICE to get my licence here and failed for the most ridiculous reason- first time I was going 50 in a 60 zone and the second time apparently I didn't indicate when going around a parked vehicle- which I DID! The week after, I passed at another licensing centre so these people just want your money. It would help if their assessors were friendly and gave good feedback instead of being on a power trip.

The first experience was very positive but today I received a very xenophobic treatment. I was accused to provide false information and I have everything saved by emails and official documents. The staff didn't gave me enough informations and when I did questions to understand wich documents I can provide she just told me "you cannot talk to me like that". I'm really sorry for any inconvenience but I have not idea I'm not able to do questions because I'm immigrant. Once again, I really apologize for ask for additional information and your services.

They sent letters to the wrong address and then somehow denied any culpability in doing so. Forced me to pay a fine that I only received because I didn't get their initial letter, which they had misdelivered. Also spent 40 minutes on hold only to be told I wasn't allowed to know what my own email address was. If hell exists on earth, it's the DOT.

IMPROVED SERVICE. FAST AND EFFICIENT
Since my last visit to Dept of Transport licensing Centre in West Perth, the service has greatly improved.
Yes there is a wait unless you are the only person in there so ypu expect to wait.
When entering I was greeted by a staff member who asked me what I needed to do and gave me the appropriate ticket and asked me to take a seat and wait for my number to be called. Nothing changed in that aspect since my last visit apart from obtaining a ticket. The staff member certainly speeds up the process there without people getting confused on which ticket to obtain.
There were another 28 people in there at the time I was there before I got served.
They were calling all different number sequencing.
I was waiting exactly 11 minutes before I was served by a lovely lady who was fast, friendly and courteous.
Well done Department of Transport.

Improved friendly service

The service at DOT has improved immensely from previous years. Last time I went in 5 years ago, the wait times were crazy and the service was below standard.

This time, I was greeted and directed immediately. Then I was served within 5 minutes and my issue resolved promptly and with great service. Great to see
