72I waited nearly an hour to be served (which I don’t mind if my issue had have been fixed), only to find that the lady has not issued me a new licence and has instead had a sticker sent to “update” my address to the same address I already have on my licence. The lady that served me was rude and clearly did not listen to what I was saying
The person I dealt with was not interested listening to my enquiry, I ended up going to Mirrabooka where the staff appear more competent.
Standard govt place with a long waiting time and a due process for every person.
For those moving from interstate, it is at best to read the list of identification and other documents required and then it's a smooth sail.
I had a good experience compared to trying to be seen at another location. Wait time maybe 40min max. There were 16 counters and consider I was there around lunch break times there were give or take 12 counters operating at the time and felt they serviced everyone quickly. Polite staff too.
1. The place doesn't have enough staff. I was waiting for my turn in the queue for more than 1.5 hours. The place is extremely overcrowded and dangerous in terms of covid exposure.
2. If you wait outside in the fresh air as per health requirements - you will miss your place in the queue, as there are no monitors visible from the outside through the windows. They won't start looking for you if you don't show up, and you will have to wait in the queue for an hour again.
3. You can not view the queue progress online
4. The place needs to rebuilt completely, allowing to accommodate more visitors and more staff.
The queuing system is a bit confusing.
If you feel unsure about which queue you belong to, just ask their staff
2 hours waiting is just ridiculous. After waiting for 1 and a half hour they decided to skip my queue and said I should be called sooner, wait for another half hour no one called. This is just ridiculous
The wait can suck especially if there busy, on one day there was literally no one there so was seen straight away.
Staff i dealt with were extremely helpful and friendly.
The staff are absolutely amazing but I
always have to wait for more than an hour to get things done…
Ridiculous waiting time!
The department has listed my name incorrectly, the lady over the counter offered no apology and was unfriendly.
Waited 1 1/2 hours for the computer system to crash and a further hour, with no indication when it would be up and running. Appalling setup.
Print had a problem, asked the agent for help. She printed out a number for me. I said I was going to my car take my backpack and come back. 3minutes later she didn't allow me in saying that it was closed and for safety reasons no one is allowed in. Whaatttt? Seriously?
The assessment of the “flow” item in PDA is so subjective. The assessor failed me by 4/5 in flow, and one comment for me is I did not speed up quickly, what is quickly? Because I speed up in 4s but not in 3s? Is this really make a big danger for others? Why so mean to us who have practiced so hard and tried several times to take PDA? If you fail me because I did not check mirror or give wrong signal, I accept. But for such kind error in Flow, I CANNOT!
Helpful, useful and everyone knowledgeable. It's a busy place but they are fast. Parking bays are a bit difficult to get at times.
Went to get my learners permit done here.
Wait times were less than an hour.
Staff were happily able to get my application done.
Everyone seemed really friendly.
A two hour wait for a fairly straightforward transaction that could not be done online. Slow service and staff that seem more intersted in barking at you to stay separated in the line outside than serving customers. THIS is why public service has a bad rep.
Took my daughter to do the HPT and was told the wait time was 1.5hr. There were no seats available and no social distancing being observed. Came home and phoned the DOT to see if I could book it. Waited 14 mins for my call to be answered only to be told that you couldn't book a HPT. Service really isn't good enough, the Dept should be ashamed.
Waited 15 minutes on phone then to be hung up on. Seems impossible to get through on the phone.
Really good experience. Came there after being told, in Cannington, that I couldn't proceed with a simple overseas driver's license transfer because of an unnecessary 'mandatory' translation.
Got to West Perth and my transfer (inc.waiting time) got done in 1h.
I waited for 1.5hr to licence my car, and then at the counter they told me I forgot one thing, so I had to go back home to get this thing. And then when I came back they told me to wait again 1.5hr even when I explained the situation. Crazy. There’s clearly not enough staff for the number of clients and amount of work to do.
