Backbeach Cafe & Restaurant

Lovely food but terrible service, worker who served us made it out as if our order was so much effort because we were ordering 15 minutes before the kitchen closed, our food then came out in take away boxes (this question was never asked to us and we ordered inside) and we sat down to eat (while other people are eating still) and he came over and shut our takeaway boxes and said take away only while holding his hand on my shoulder.didn't even want to stay to eat after this happened.

Oyster in chilli lime marinade awesome as entree meals and service excellent freindly atmosphere reasonable prices not to mention the great views definately a winner. Coffee and cake is also pretty yummy

One of the best long blacks I have ever had. Friendly owners! Approachable and endearing, with beautiful views of the beach.

Lovely spot to watch the ocean and have a lovely coffee. Would have been awesome if they'd remembered to make our breakfast

Staff were very friendly, helpful and happy to accomodate our requests. The food was terrific and came out very quickly even though we were a big group. This is our second visit to Backbeach cafe and we look forward to another on our next trip to Bunbury

I have frequented the cafe on numerous occasions and had brilliant experiences untill today.
The person who served me literally said "What" when I went to order. He had no customer service skills and no communication skills. I ordered my coffee and waited 15 minutes before asking if their was a hold up or something with my order. The staff member then took my till receipt of the register and took it inside, I'm unsure if he had given it the coffee barista at all until that stage. I went inside and asked another staff member if their was a hold up on coffees, with her explaining their had been a bit of a wait but they would be coming through now. I walked back outside to wait when the coffee barista yelled the lady that wanted the soy where is she, I walked up to the windows and he showed me his milk jug with almost no milk in, he said I have no soy left, you can have almond or something else, I said no thank you I can't drink almond with that he promptly said give her her money back and he walked off. I have never felt so disrespected before and it will be a long time before I attend the Cafe again

What a beautiful place! We just stopped by for a coffee and we were shocked by how peaceful and tranquil it was inside! Plus the coffee was the best we have had all holiday!
Special mention aswel to how hard all the staff were working! No one stopped the whole time we were there.

Good location for a beach view and suggestion for breakfast, good service and food is just OK hope they can improve for our next visit. Menu was great, food was excellent. Service was amazing. Well done to all the staff for a great job. I highly recommend coming here for your next function.

Ordered for $30 a glass of soft drink and a wagyu burger with no oignons.
Turned up a beautiful big burger with nice fries, but it had oignons in it and the beef had a taste of old oil, which made the burger not eatable. I've eated a bit, and couldn't force myself more so I've sent it away, and nothing came back from the kitchen.
Not even been offered a coffe as an apology.

Lovely friendly staff, quick service despite being busy. Food was good but wanted 2 slices of toast with my fried eggs. Quite expensive I think. Very welcoming atmosphere and pleasant surroundings

Venue nice, serves small and didn't like how they cleared some of our plates whilst we were still eating, it seemed like they were rushing us to eat and leave?

The views are to die for. Absolutely stunning beach. The cafe itself is grubby. Chair cushions are stacked on a shelf (self help) and in need of a wash. Food was ok but overpriced at $20 for a burger.

The kumara (sweet potato) wedges are super yummy.

Service was slow. Staff rude. Manger was rude. Wont be hurring back. Plus dirty drinking glasses. Nice place but need to improve there customer service. Was not impressed.

Beautiful spot to sit by the ocean in Bunbury. Ordered seafood platters, bottle of wine and scallops. The scallops were very well cooked & flavoursome. The seafood platter was a tad overpriced for what you actually get, the fish was over battered and the plate was filled with chips to make it look bigger than it was. Wine available, especially for the region, wasn’t great & could be room for improvement there. Overall not a bad visit

Great venue, staff friendly. Great venue for beach views either inside or on the sheltered pergola. Went for breakfast, absolutely delicious. Will be back on a regular basis

Great location and service is friendly! Unfortunately the food was way overpriced for what we received and items were missing from the big breakfast. There was no chorizo or mushrooms and one slice of toast. The banana bread was $10 for one slice. $15 granola bowl barely enough to feed a bird. It seems they are not listening to the reviews received.

Delicious croquettes and great coffee. Excellent ambience. Some unexpected serve yourself. Pricey.

I went here on Friday for lunch with my parents. We really enjoyed the food - great quality and huge serves. Quite often venues that have an amazing location don’t serve great food as they don’t need this to attract customers. Really pleased to see that this wasn’t the case. Well done

We had the wagyu beef burger, seafood box and porterhouse steak. Fantastic! Service was friendly too.
