Waltzing Matilda Hotel

Last Saturday we had lovely lunch at bistro I recommend this place for family specially the play area you enjoy ur meal while kids playing service is good

A group of us went to dinner tonight and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. The food and service were great. Thank you to the staff on duty for the great experience, will certainly come again!

We had an amazing time at our school reunion last night. The staff were fantastic. Special thanks to Sebastian, Cynthia and the rest of the staff for their outstanding service. I had the Calamari and I have to say it was one of the best that I've had.
Will be bringing my family in for a meal.

Visited with some friends recently to play the pokies. All 4 of us had decent wins. Friendly staff too. Will definitely visit again soon

I lost $200 on the bloody pokies I never play them but I was driving past three and I suddenly got a feeling that I was going to win big so I went in the waltzing Matilda is a great venue if you like the pokies it used to have live bands there 25 years ago those were the days

We had lunch and wow it was big and yummy I had a seniors roast chicken and it was way to big for me to eat. My husband had a pie with veg and onion rings and he had a hard time finishing it

Staff are very nice and both sides of the venue including the dining area and the gaming area by far the best in the area

The place was surprisingly clean and comfortable and Firaz, the manager, was such a gem. He waited late for us to check in and gave us free drinks because he saw how tired we were. We had a great chat and he made us feel super comfortable. We had the best night sleep there! Thanks Firaz for the wonderful experience!

Service was good but whenever we ordered food for room service missing one or two items and needed to call them back.

Quite a few of the items when we went there were OOS but service was decent though we did have to follow up with one of the drinks. Good vibes, vegetarian food was okay but probably better suited for those who have meat (those Parmas!) Would come back for their cocktails though, yum.

Great place to meet up with friends, food choices are great, chicken parma was really good, highly recommended, a big from me.

Disgraceful, What has happened to this Pub? Once Frequent regulars! Always supporting our local.never returning again. A large group out celebrating Christmas lunch, it was no celebration today. We loved how festive & inviting it once was at this time of year. The atmosphere now is poor, the decorations are sad and seldom. No options on the bistro menu, every item I asked for was not available? And no vegetables at all! After ordering the 6th ‘available’ item on the menu the meals all came out at different times and not hot, lucky to be warm. We would have usually enjoyed a coffee after our meals. But there was no coffee! And not even hot chocolate, no milk! What an absolute Joke. Don’t even waste your time, our entire table left disappointed. No manager to be seen anywhere.

On 24/12/21 Christmas Eve had a pre arranged booking to stay overnight drove 2 hours in heat to get there only to be told they would not accept our government exemption for vaccine as the management have ordered only fully vaccinated are allowed in their building. They never discussed this issue when I did booking. The staff are rude I would not recommend this place to anyone and before they refused us they took money from my card and have refused to re emburse it immediately we have to wait

Nice rooms but no microwave, had a toddler with me so couldn't heat up bottle but got around it and I think who ever installed the bathroom sinks must of been tall, lol, but had a balcony and had a nice meal and my gd had a ball in the playroom, staff were really nice

Seniors calamari was excellent,
Seniors schnitzel was excellent, drinks, pavola & the lemon meringue was excellent too.

Great pub for a chain - always get a table and the food is usually great.
Bit pricey for a pub but good food

Amazing restaurant, great atmosphere, perfect if you have kids.
But I got to say the prawns was amazing I ordered them like 3 times.
Don't ever take the prawns of your menu maybe they should make a larger portion maybe a plate of 12 would be great.
But I highly recommend this place

Terible night sleep!
My brother came from Sydney to visit us, we didnt have spare room so I booked Nightcap at Waltzing Matilda for him for a night. Because of the flight delayed and some personal reasons we checked in late at 10pm that night. Bathroom no hair dryer, no toothbrush, no toothpaste, used towels from someone had been left in the shelf. His room was on the ground level. In the early morning when I came pick up him, I realised outdoor area had a broken beer bottle. He then admitted he had a sleepless night and I felt so guilty without knowing the thing happened there for him.
Messy, dirty, no cleaning service before new guest check in?

Welcoming staff relaxed and cosy atmosphere with a fireplace going on a chilling day.

The food is fresh and very tasy, looking very much looking forward to going back with more friends.

I was really pleased with my meal and the service.

I was extremely disappointed that I went to order a hot chocolate and was told there was no Soy Milk. This made me really angry. The rest of my family all enjoyed their hot drinks after their meals and I missed out. I’ve got a dairy allergy to milk and can get very sick. Disappointing that a family pub does not cater to allergies.

This is unfair to not cater to people who have allergies.
