Bad attitude.
Wanted to charge me a $90 service when all I wanted was to know if the battery charger was faulty. It would have taken 1 minute to check and if faulty I could have bought a new one from them but instead they wouldn’t do anything without a $90 service fee.
Seriously bad service attitude.
BTW I then went to The Goodguys who simply plugged in the vacuum to a charger and confirmed the charger was faulty and now I have ordered a new charger. 1 minute of their time and I would have given a decent review. They only wanted to charge me for a service because that's how they would make money.

UPDATE: Today (13/1) I received a call from a Vac City rep who said they'd read my review and wanted to help me. They have contacted Miele and after sending photos of the wand, have agreed to replace the part under warranty which they will send directly next week. I'm happy with this solution which is as I expected it should be when I made the initial contact.

I purchased a genuine miele telescopic wand from Vac City online in June 2022. I paid $99 for the part and an additional $14.80 for express delivery. I was pretty impressed with the speedy service and I received the part as promised. In December 2022 after normal use, (I also have a stick vaccum which I use more regularly) the button mechanism started to fail and the wand was difficult to click into place, feeling like it might break at anytime so I taped it up. I waited until after the Christmas period to make contact. I had difficulty finding a returns under warranty process on the website so I sent an email explaining the issue and how to go about a return. I also explained that I'd experienced the same fault with the original miele wand and therefore wondered if it was a known fault. The owner David responded saying that I should get in touch with Miele directly and that he didn't know of any faults with miele wands. I was taken aback by the response given the seller is responsible for providing options for return/refund/replacement when they've sold a faulty item. I also did a quick search online to find that this is a known fault. I responded to David and again asked him to provide the process for returning faulty goods and what solutions for rectification were available. While David responded quickly to my initial email obviously hoping to fob me off, he hasn't responded to my response or follow up. In fairness, it's only been 6 days however please be wary of retailers who don't understand their obligations relating to the sale of faulty goods and honouring warranties. My next port of call will be to file a complaint with Fair Trading and refer him and his business to the ACCC if the issue isn't dealt with in a timely manner.

Always say they have stock of vacuums and parts when they haven't. They are extremely slow to follow up with a problem.

Ordered a dyson part, 1st one sent hadn't arrived in a reasonable time so they sent me a replacement on my original order. It was the wrong part, i thought there was only 1 version of the v11 outsize, apparently not. Lots of emails and phone calls followed and it was agreed that i send back the replacement part for a full refund. Then and out of the blue the original order made it way to my front door. I discovered it had the wrong state as the address, absolutely my error. After sending this part back also they quickly refunded my money.
They were very helpful through all of this process.

I purchased my Dyson 5 years ago with no issues when suddenly the roller brush stopped spinning. I called Dyson, they told me the part is not available and that I need to buy a new vacuum. I rang a few places with no luck. Then came across Vac City and they said to bring my Dyson in for assessment to see if anything can be done. After 3 days I got my Dyson back and it’s working like brand new! I will highly recommend to friends and family! Thank you to all the staff at Vac City!

Don't normally run a small business down, but these guys are as untrustworthy as it gets. And after reading other reviews, Vac City are either the "unluckiest" company in Australia with packages being "lost" with AusPost/Couriers or it's a great business model to save on postage and place blame on someone else. While they still have your full payment. After 6 weeks of attempting to figure out where an almost $800 vacuum was. I decided to go and pick it up myself from their store. There were zero attempts at resolving from their end. Told on the phone that "I would have to wait for the vacuum "to be returned from the courier, before we can send/pick-up a new one". I called AusPost myself they had no record of receiving the package, but did have the order number in their system.

After driving two hours to pick it up, I was then told by a complete smart a** in store "You should have requested us to resend". Postage was never refunded as promised. Get ready for an excuse and shift of blame response from the owners.
