Trulli Woodfire Pizzeria reviews
69 This place was great!
We had the ciabatta with some really nice extra virgin olive oil and smoked butter. Very simple but delicious. The tagliatelle was done to perfection & the pizza toppings are loaded on and very tasty.
The staff are also very friendly and helpful, I would definitely recommend this place.
Amazing pizzas! Went there for lunch while staying nearby, and we absolutely loved it. Very authentic - its a shame I live so far away…
This place was recommended to us when staying in Inverloch for dinner. Well worth the drive. Ambient setting, decor beautiful and great food. Loved the use of local produce from Gippsland. Trulli bread found in many shops as we travelled.lt was delicious.
My only problem was the waiter, very friendly and helpful but we felt rushed with every course and would have preferred to take our time and less hovering over us at table. We just wanted to talk uninterrupted.
Delicious food (highly recommend the ciabatta as a starter), amazing coffee (up there with the best in Melbourne), and friendly helpful service. Even our 8 month old wanted some pizza!
Very disappointed, haven't been in ages so was highly looking forward to it. The cost of food and drinks were very pricey. Menu is very small and not a big variety and food was very average for the price we paid and we got told there would be a cake cutting fee. Very disappointing and upsetting
Excellent pizza and service as always. A big fan of the local suppliers map on the wall for the ingredients that go into the menu. Looking forward to returning again soon!
**Edited to add. We came to Trulli yesterday and found only 3 pizzas on a very different menu to what we've enjoyed over the years. After enquiring, the well known pizzas are still available but over the road. It's a great little setup and plenty of room for the kids. Few new pictures added also.
Poor service, upon entering after making a booking a week earlier we were shoved into the front corner with a view of the front registrar and coffee machine. Some waiters and waitresses were attentive and lovely but the front of house lady was terrible, my wife tried to make contact with her approx; 10 times with no response before she finally said I've asked the waiter to come over. The pizza was quite nice but should be for $32. The Vongole was awful. Muddy consistency, unbalanced flavour and poor textured pasta. Un-eatable and $42 is really pricey. The Pinot Grigio for $15 was acidic and no better than cask I would imagine. They did remove the pasta from the bill which was a positive.
For the price you pay I’d expect better quality pizzas. They’re alright I just feel they are overpriced and at times burnt.
Best of the best found throughout the journey of Gippsland. Live kitchen, creative dine in place and most important the quality of the Pizzas
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME. Below average overpriced pizza. We had a vegan option for $24 with the surcharge of $2 for adding VEGAN cheese on top of it on request. Tasted like a having a bread with hardly noticeable bean mash and few spinach leaves. As a dessert, we got a mini vegan cake. Even though we let them know that I will be having it after pizza, they kept it in the freezer and handed it frozen with the ice on top. Only after defrosting it and keeping for some time in a room temperature, we could eat it. The cake was very good though. ** But seriously, guys, you need to reconsider how you serve and how you make a VEGAN pizza. Definitely, we will not be coming back or recommending anyone.
Reception staff were welcoming.
Ordered pizza, which was below average.
I was expecting better.
Needs improvements.
Well though out food and amazing customer service. We had a great experience here first night in prom country!
I was blown away by the care and pride they have in their food. We found a few bones in the fish which we left on our plates but wasn't really phased by it. After taking back the plates, our server came back to apologize for the bones and offered us a drink on the house. We were super appreciative of the kind gesture and shocked that such service existed (on top of very very good food!).
Fellas, one of the good pizza place in South Gippsland can offer you delicious and authentic Italian flavor. Liked it the country set up tables and that original vibe. A good variety of choices can make everyone customer satisfied with the pizza selection and craft beer. Definitely, my friends and I will visit it soon again on the way to Willson Prom. Support the locals, peeps! Highly recommended
Have been here several times and thoroughly enjoy the pizzas made with local meats, cheeses and produce. I'm sure pasta dishes would be equally as good. Good outdoor and indoor dining. My preferred wine at $15 a glass is a bit pricey
Had pizza here over the road in the nice outdoor area. Nice pizza, although prices are little on the high side, especially as there is no table service and that you should clean up after yourself (which is okay, but then probably shouldn’t be charged prices that would typically include table service). I’m going by the prices of some of the best Italian pizza places in Melbourne. And while the pizza is quite good it’s not quite to the standard of some of those places and Trulli is not in the city. In any case, would still say it was quite good and have given a higher rating, however while ordering was put a little off by the lady licking her fingers before turning and tearing the pages of the docket book where she was writing down the orders. The dockets where then handled by other staff. While waiting for our pizza I saw it happening over and over again. Really not hygienic, especially during times of Covid.
Slightly overpriced, but the pizza dough is real Italian pizza dough and I wouldn't be surprised if it is made from Italian flour. Very good overall.
Nice pizza and pasta dishes but I thought the pasta was a bit overpriced for the portion size you get. Maybe that’s normal for regional areas.
Professional waiting staff, beautiful pizzas! My husband is pretty fussy with tiramisu and he even liked it!
Great Italian restaurant, I have been here a few times and it has never let me down. The service is top quality and the food is delicious especially the degustation menu. Would recommend if you are in the area!
If you are heading to or from Wilson's Prom, or just happen to be in the area, this is THE must visit dining establishment. Featuring real wood fired pizza and an amazing Italian menu. The exceptional quality of the ingredients used is clear from entree to dessert. The wait staff are personable, the service is quick and the food will always make you want to return. Trulli a great place to dine.
