Trofeo Estate reviews
74A stunning winery with a beautiful atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I could not speak of them highly enough. The flights were great to sample all their offerings and we purchased more wine as it was delicious, so was the food. Easy to find. I would definitely visit again.
All I have to say is I was blown away but this vineyard! From the picturesque entrance to the cellar door to the service of Millie & yogi. We were a big group of 8 people and we had a magical tasting from the Blanc de Noir to the special Cabernet 2018. Millie went above and beyond with our groups tough questions (we work with wine) and the quote of the day was “how long in oak did this have” when everything is aged in clay. Can’t wait to visit again! I was so stoked with the tasting I didn’t take pictures.
We had such a nice time here at the Trofeo Estate. The food and wine was amazing, we had the vegetarian share platter for 2, and a few tasting flights. We could not fault the food or wine, it was so lovely. We were mostly impressed with the amazing service. The staff were so caring and they went above and beyond to make sure we had a pleasant experience. Thank you so much. We will definitely be back!
A delightful place to spend an afternoon. Beautiful surroundings, delicious food and great wine. I highly recommend whether for an outing for two, or a large group.
Fabulous taste sensations with our luncheon platters. Excellent wine tasting done by Ruby. Would recommend a visit here
Staff were very efficient and friendly. The food was amazing. We had A Taste of the Sea. We have been there before and will definately go again.
Cancelled our booking on the morning of, completely ruining our plans. Based this on the weather forecast which had not changed since we made the booking. Abrupt and uncaring.
Have been a number of times on different occasions. A beautiful setting outside for my girlfriends 60th birthday with an amazing spread. Highly recommend.
Amazing food and incredible service! The team looked after our large group over the Christmas / New Year break when every venue was overwhelmed and understaffed. They were happy, friendly and nothing was too much of an effort despite very stressful circumstances. The location is gorgeous and the wines are excellent!
We had a great day and the food and wine was amazing and the staff were very helpful, friendly. As this was our first time there in about 3 years the wine recommendation was great forgot how good terracotta wines are. We will be back!
Pleasant experience all around. We were greeted and served by the friendliest staff.
The black salt butter is to die for. Would defiantly recommend it.
Beautiful winery with exceptional amphora aged wines.
Not often i go to winery and subscribe but this winery was truly a winner. You have choice between their core and 'chosen' range and I liked the fact that both were good in their own way. Food options are limited in a way as there is only three to choose from, veg, meat and cheese but don't underestimate the size of the platter as small is sufficient for two. I didn't try their dessert but holding on to try it next time.
Service was excellent as they were knowledgeable and had plenty of staff to ensure you have enough to drink and eat.
Can't wait to go back again and try their new releases.
NEW REVIEW
7 months later we're back! We went back for the charcuterie board and had a great experience once again. The board was a little different this time, but we still loved it. A few things to note this time:
- We wished there was more bread and/or crackers with the board.
- The spring rolls weren't great (the flavour, sauce and filling didn't work for all four of us) but the quail was delicious and a welcome inclusion.
OLD REVIEW
We had a great experience at the Trofeo Estate.
The wine tasting was very informative, great fun and there was a great range available to try. The girl who helped us was so nice!
The Charcuterie board was amazing, especially the pate and bread.
Thanks for the experience! I'll be back for sure.
We had a lovely time. Came by without a booking during the Christmas period. They were hosting a private function but the FOH kindly took pity on us and ran us through an impromptu tasting. My friends made the most of it. We learned a little of their terracotta wine making process (amphora?) and tasted what was some of the most delicious sparkling. Didn’t want to leave as the FOH was so accommodating. Thanks again. We’ll be back!
Would have given 5 stars for great food and wine, lovely environment but PLEASE Dear Trofeo Estate invest in a couple of outdoor gas heaters. Even in thick clothes we nearly froze our@*! #& off!
The way they make their wine seemed interesting so we decided to visit on a quiet Tuesday afternoon. Upon entry we were not acknowledged or greeted despite there only being 2 other customers there and 2 staff present. After roaming around the small cellar door/bar area for about 5 - 10 minutes looking at the wines and still not being acknowledged, greeted or approached we decided to leave.
Please note this review is based solely on the service and not the product as we were not able to try any. Happy to change the rating of this review in the future if we have a more pleasant experience as we really did want to try the terracotta wine.
We went to Trofeo after trying the Terzetto Prosecco in Carlton.
Had tasted amphora wines before without liking any. As such, our expectations weren't great but we were curious.
Good decision. The wines were outstanding. In particular, the chardonnays, sparkling, pinots and cabernet sauvignon. First class.
Food was great. Service was impeccable. Beautiful spot.
A wonderful experience and will be back.
A fantastic evening: “Mindful Eating Project’ with Andrew Ballard and Simmer Culinary presenting an ensemble of spectacular four course plant-based meals paired with the Trofeo Estate’s Terracotta Amphora wines. Each meal an unpredictable delightful surprise in presentation and tastes, completing with a dessert that popped and mixed a hue of colour-tastes resembling an artist’s palette. A perfect ambience, definitely my favourite winery.
Amazing wine, outstanding service - the platters are delicious and very generous. Highly recommend you will not be disappointed.
My husband - Chris and I got married at Trofeo Estate on 27.02.21 (third time lucky due to covid-19!). We had the most amazing wedding experience and we couldn’t fault Trofeo estate, Lisa, Steph & the team! Nothing was ever too much trouble for them and they were so accomodating and supportive to us throughout the whole postponement and rescheduling process. Thank you all for making our wedding day an amazing & care-free experience for us - a day we will remember for the rest of our lives Amazing venue and amazing food & staff what else could you want!?
