Torquay Hotel Motel reviews
78Went there are a year ago shocking service, they forgot meals and weren't apologetic or offer anything else. Went there again today hasn't improved, staff very strict, have kids play area but no kids sized drinks, over priced meals for what they are, won't be going there again.
After getting good service in the main bar, it was a shame that Jesse couldn’t provide good service in the gaming room. I waited for a beer for an extended time while he stuffed around with the blonde hair girl to eventually serving me. No apology for the wait for at least 4 minutes. Take your attitude somewhere else buddy!
This is a great place to eat. Food was very tasty and staff are friendly. Value for money and also outdoor area is clean with music playing in background and also family friendly.
Had a wonderful time, really chill and relaxing in the beer garden we had a parma, squid, loaded fries and prawn dumplings. All really good the parma was thick and tender and staff were more then happy to not put the Napoleon sause on, squid was amazing some of the best I've had super soft and great flavour, the only fualt was there was ment to be 5 dumplings but we got 4 but that's okay
Had a sign up saying Thursday night parma special for $16 dollars, but they rung my food up at the normal price and when I queried about it the bartender got his manager who told me that the special was only for January and then took the sign down.pretty bizzare and service wasn't good.
Wonder scotch fillet steak. Our Trails for Change group received wonderful service last night, well organised and love the beer of the steel.
Good music, enjoyable atmosphere, interesting people, nice staff. All in all, a good place to enjoy yourself if you don't mind the noise.
Aging motel but has everything for a good nights sleep. A little way out of town so can't just walk to the shops and pick up what need. Reception was friendly, reasonably priced room and quick to help with any questions. For a sleep only, would stay there again.
The wife and I went for lunch as we were in the area, service was great, staff were very friendly and the meals were very good and very reasonably priced for the size of the meal and we were very content. We'll return for sure. Thankyou Les and Kerrie
Only went for drinks on a Saturday night. Band was fantastic and drinks very reasonable. Large outdoor beetle garden with heating. Pool tables and buck hunter are there and you can get cash out.
Great atmosphere, new Carlton draught pipes in.looks great, beer tastes even better. Punting food n beer, can it get any better?
We Use to go for dinner every Wednesday. Old menu was much better. New owners have tried to go too fancy changing the menu. Prices have also gone up. Have had to find a new local. Still has a good atmosphere though.
Very disappointed with the meal. $36 for fish and chips. The fish tasted of old frying oil and was so thinly cut I had to use a spoon to pick it up.
Vegetables were ok. Wanted bread only option garlic. Unhappy
Group of friends went for an afternoon drink, bartender was very lovely, helpful and accommodating to requests and gave us some recommendations of drinks too. Wish they had more varieties of beverages but overall pretty good.
Beer was cold and fresh, but meals over priced. Parmi very thin and overcooked, linguini was like soup with some pasta added. I'm local but i won't be eating here for a long time. Meals have really slipped.
Great kids area. Menu is updated fairly regularly and the specials are not just permanent menu items listed as specials. Great selection of beers. It's a pub and not fine dining, however it's good honest food. It's always open (handy in Torquay) and hardly ever let's you down. It has a nice feel and looks modern and not worn out. It's a great place both in summer and winter!
I went on a Saturday night which was not a special's night. Prices seemed to have gone up. I paid $26.00 for Chicken Parma with Vegs and chips. However it was good homemade parma made with a decent amount of fresh chicken breast (not reconstituted) and fresh bread crumbs, topped with a sauce and cheese. Chips were crispy and delicious. Mixed Vegs were nicely steamed and fresh chunks, not soggy packet stuff. In all the meal was very enjoyable and filling.
