Asked if we could play on the pool table, they said no, then half an hour later, we saw two people playing on it

Great pub. The beer garden is superb and the main bar and bistro are also great. From dry aged steaks cooked over the flamed grill to the impressive kids play area, it’s a must visit place.

Had tickets to attend a concert here but was refused entry due to not having physical ID (i had digital copy). I'm nearly 40 years old with a beard so I'm certainly not underage. I had paid for a babysitter and travelled for the show also. I'm now hundreds of $ out of pocket. Nothing on the ticket, or hotel website states that physical ID is required. I've also previously entered the same venue multiple times using a digital ID, as well as having the same ID accepted by police recently. I saw numerous people turned away for the same reason in my short time politely trying to reason with security staff. These rules contradict all government websites as well.

Upon calling the hotel to discuss, the person who answered (Hannah?) Was more interested in arguing and talking over me than trying to listen. She even bragged about making their own rules if she wants to. Absolute joke of an establishment with arrogant staff. I will not return to this venue again.

Torquay Hotel staff couldn’t have done more to ensure the group booking went well; from finding a suitable space, to accommodating additional people last minute, excellent service and made everyone feel welcome.

My fiancée and I went here for the last night of our holidays, the staff were OK. We both had the pama it wasn't good at all, dry chicken, and soggy crumbs. And over all didn't have alot of taste to it apart from the taste of cheap cheese. Would defantly avoid the pama if you're used to really good pamas, at $29 it was very over priced

We 5 Girlfriends were celebrating a Birthday at the Hotel tonight.
All food was absolutely beautiful and all the staff so lovely.

Came up from Melbourne for the day! The food and the service were both equally amazing! We came with a party of 4 adults and 4 toddlers and newborn and the staff were helpful, polite and understanding and quick to help! Everyone’s food came out fast and tasted delicious!

Nice pub, staff in the bistro are excellent & food is good. Good selection of beers, beer garden open to late but get in before 11pm so you don't have to line up. Large sports bar for the punter in you.
I will be back there tomorrow, having a good time.

Staff are rude and give you absolutely nothing when taking your order. There is also 5 of them standing in the bar chatting and doing nothing but giving us looks

Quick to be seated, drink order taken and service was quick. Meal order taken and meals were delicious, unfortunately that’s when things went down hill we finished our meal and never got asked if we wanted dessert or another drink, none of the wait staff came over at all once we had placed our order bit disappointing.

Everyone in our group of 81 thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas lunch yesterday, with the delicious meals served by the friendly staff. Rylea Adams very efficiently and professionally made the planning of the event easy and stress free. We would definitely recommend the Torquay Hotel to all of our friends.

Food was delicous, service was excellent the cauliflower steak was awesome! A little expensive.

Cool pub. Loved how they set up additional seating and TV for the prelim final match. Good beers on tap and some nice vegetarian options on the menu.

Met friends for lunch at the Torquay hotel. Extensive menu including a Senior’s menu as well as friendly attentive service. Meals were delicious. Very happy with our dining experience at the Torquay Hotel and will definitely be back.

Fantastic service and fantastic staff, very polite too.
Was very disappointed in my burned porterhouse steak, that wasn’t cooked properly on inside and got burned even more when they recooked it. So number 3 for you guys.

Food very good drink very good service but all got ruined by the bar manager with her bad manners and lack of people skills such a shame for a place that has so much going for it
