Beautiful day and headed out to the Yarra Valley to @TokarEstate and took up the offer for a table outside enjoying the picturesque scenery.

Smoked carrot, cashew cream, lemon crisp
A tender carrot half, slight char, subtle smokey flavour which is kind of unique and elevates the ordinary carrot's sweet flavour, this pairs very well with the cashew cream which is smooth, rich, and creamy. For a textual contrast, I love the crisp which is very moreish and reminds me a bit of a bag of chips, but this crisp is so much better. Love the citrus powder. The finely chopped pistachios continue the nutty earthy theme of the dish.

Beef cheek, horseradish cream, olive herb
Crispy potatoes, creme fraiche, nori salt
Baby gem, herbed vinaigrette, pea tendrils

Why put a knife on the table? The beef cheek cuts like butter, super tender and oh so delicious! Each bite melts in your mouth, the deep rich flavour of the red wine it was cooked in, the flavoursome jus, wow! I also enjoyed the small crumbed dumpling with a smooth semolina mixture, Parmesan and an olive herb which is so yum.

The crispy potatoes are tasty with the slightly sour creme fraiche dressing and the greens help provide that burst of freshness. Wonderful meal.

Pina colada pannacotta, pineapple, mint, crumble
A decadent rich creamy pannacotta was presented with a lovely wobble and I thoroughly enjoyed each bite. This is paired with a lovely array of tropical flavours in the pineapple pieces providing freshness, the dehydrated pineapple which is very unique and interesting, soft tapioca balls like what you find in sago, and a biscuit crumble. Excellent finish to the meal. Fantastic dining experience, beautiful scenery, excellent friendly service.

Beautiful day, excellent service, table with a view, three courses with wine. My entree carrot with cashew cream and lemon crisp deliciously different, duck (in a pie) and panacotta spectacular.

We had lunch today to celebrate my husband’s birthday and it was just beautiful!
The view, the service and the food were spot on and so perfect.

Wonderful food, beautiful surroundings and views and the staff could not have been more accommodating.enjoyed the lockdown deliveries but this was even better. And the wines were superb!

We went for a fairly impromptu lunch on a Thursday arvo. What an absolute treat. Food was just superb and the lunch package terrific value. The estate Tempranillo is a ripping example of this variety. Bravo Tokar you can certainly count us as top fans.

The food was outstanding, the service exemplary and we also had a glass of desert wine which was spectacular. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I loved the scenery in Tokar Estate. I think that was the beat part of my experience there. The wine tasting - not so much. The experience I had was so-so. I didn't feel too engaged with the experience as with the other wine tasting that I have had in the other wineries. It was an okay visit. Once was enough. It seems that the only thing I remember was enjoying the scenery. Didn't even take home any wine from our experience.

Amazing Yarravalley winery & restaurant, food, wine and service were all impeccable, we were incredibly happy with the lunch and the wine tasting.

We had Easter Sunday lunch for set menu of 8 people $85 pp not including extra wine etc. The view was beautiful but the dining experience want there. Each course was served on 2 x plates to shared. Which we all were very surprising. The portion was very small which was not worth $85 pp.
Restaurant was fully booked but not enough staff. Service took longer to order for drinks. Even if the view here was beautiful I think this place was overpriced as the 8 of us going home still feeling hungry.

Enjoyed an absolutely divine 3 course weekend lunch with a bottle of estate Rose, overlooking the gorgeous Yarra Valley landscape. Exceptional service, pleasant jazz music and even delicious coffee made this such a delightful way to spend the day.

Gorgeous picturesque winery on a beautiful summers day. Delicious wines and amazing set menu. Great friendly staff too.

My experience overall was quite lovely, I’d give a 4.5, however I don’t want to be rude and drop it to a complete 4, so I’ll leave it at a 5. We were treated nicely, the wait staff kept a keen eye on things as minor as the water levels in my glass, and we were never rushed out in a way that made us feel as if they needed space for
more diners or we were wasting their time. They also in general were very great to deal with, and didn’t seem to mind my awkward nature I’ve acquired over covid lockdowns when ordering like a babbling moron.

INCREDIBLE! The best winery in the Yarra Valley hands down.
All of the wines I tasted were delicious and the set menu was such great quality, well presented and priced reasonably too! You have to come and see it for yourself. I will be back many times!

We have been benefitting from a generous community service Tokar Estate has provided during these unusual times of Covid-19 lockdown. Every two weeks we pick up a box of fully prepared, delicious meals from Rita's Pantry together with a bottle of wine and the odd extra surprise, ordered online and very reasonably priced.
Thank you, Tokar family and team, for nourishing our body and soul!

One of the best in Victoria.
Stumbled across this label whilst dining in Warrandyte. Ordered the 2017 Tempranillo and was taken by surprise at how complex and fruity it was. I knew I had to find out more about Tokar, as we were reminiscing of this bottle for weeks since.
Jumped on the Tokar website and grabbed one of the online deals they have running.
Each wine we have opened (Temp, Pinot Noir, Shiraz) has had us feeling we were sitting at the Estate with a view of the vineyard with a bit of winter sun and the smell of a fireplace.
Have not ever seen Tokar at any retail outlets or any other restaurant other than EMBER in Warrandyte.
The staff are just as amazing as their products, highly highly recommend.
