Third Wave Cafe

I had dinner at this place last night and it was wonderful. The Brisket was a bit dried, but the pork ribs were delicious. I love the garlic butter bread, mushrooms and onion rings as well. Will definitely coming back to try other dishes.

We love this place, and booked as soon as we were able to. Love the originality of some of the dishes. Square Burgers, who would have thought! 5****

I usually don’t rate 5 stars but Third Wave really earned it!

The Beef ribs was absolutely deccadent!

One of the best restaurants in Melbourne.
Food is spectacular and always exceed my expectation.
Customer service is on-point and their food preparation is reasonably quick.

The food here is always great, however on my most recent visit to their new location I was a bit disappointed. Firstly, a new ‘online’ ordering system… I mean, who needs that? ! Are they afraid to talk to customers? How do you ask a question or specify a need online? Or maybe they don’t want you to? We don’t need to be forced to stare at our phones even more than we already do.

Secondly, I ordered Russian Salad as Main Course size… but they brought an Entre Size. It took ages for them to correct the (online) error, while my poor companion waited patiently while her meal cooled down.

In the end, it was a totally wasted effort, as the Main course Russian Salad is maybe 10% bigger than the Entre size, but at twice the price!?

So if you like Russian Salad, go for it, it’s great… but order the smaller size.

Five stars for great food, but three stars for the silly ordering system.

I would recommend avoiding this place. The food is extremely bland, the service is non existent with staff not knowing the dish's on the menu, the seating outdoors is cramp and does not protect you from the weather with their heaters going off constantly. Their meats are dry and tasteless while being over priced. You have to pay the bill upfront which is something no other restaurant asks you to do and you have to use an app while still paying instore after.

Food was great. American style comfort food. Good for casual night out.outside tables could be better, and staff was inefficient.and at times slow probably getting used to serving again after the lockdown

I just want to let them know that you made me feel discriminated probably because Im not Australian and for not having that digital certificate of the vaccine, even if I showed you proof that I received my vaccines and I explained that the Department of Health havent uploaded the document because it may take up to 14 days for it. Do you know this at least? Do you know also that the process is different for people that doesnt have Medicare? Ok doesnt matter, But I wouldnt be writting this if the person that was suppose to solve this wouldnt have talked to me in that condescending way and with such a cold attitude.

Amazing experience, amazing food, amazing staff! We have absolutely loved the two times we've been, with two more bookings set before the end of the year! Well worth the drive.

Albert park is pretty long drive from my place however, decided to try their breakfast on a Saturday morning. And the drive was worthy.

Service was undoubtedly excellent and food was just great. I would recommend to try their Middle Eastern breakfast. Very soft and almost melted lamb seats top of the hummus serves with very tasty breads and poached eggs.

They also claim that their coffee is one of the best, let me tell you that you won't be disappointed, It is INDEED one of the best.

I would definitely go back there to try their bbq meats for dinner.
For me it's a must try place in Albert Park.

Fantastic food and service (I got a takeaway). Lamb burger was my favorite. Lamb was very tender. Big portions too! If you after a burger at Albert Park, I recommend.

As a vegan I would highly recommend this restaurant. The food was so delicious. This restaurant even has great options for vegetarians as well.

The food has always been great. However as they branch out to offer their burgers over the window in their new venture next door. They don't offer the same deals. Just ordered burgers at full price. When the take away from walking into the cafe and on their online portal is at 2 for one promo for exact same burgers. A sad way to mislead customer with convenience.

I got the slow cooked BBQ lamb burger, they had a 2 for 1 deal for lockdown so I thought this is the perfect time to try it as they are a bit over priced for burgers. It did not disappointment, my son said it was full of meat and that it's definitely worth full price as he is a red meat lover. You do not need sides with this, it was a massive feed, meat so soft and every bit of it went together perfectly so no complaints at all. I will definitely come back on the Wednesday for my birthday I think.

Came here for a burger and was not disappointed! One of the best burgers I've had, great portion size and filling! Very nice staff and management! And the wait time was quick, will be coming back for sure.

Ordered from third wave Sunday 8/8/21 at 538pm. Was advised the estimated time of delivery would be 652pm. At 653pm I received a text saying it would now be delivered at 740pm
As they were inundated with orders. I called the cafe and expressed my frustrations for the one hour extra wait and lack of communication and being told at my delivery time I would be waiting another hour is simply not good enough. I paid $150 for dinner for one including $20 delivery fee. Monica said she will try rush the order to me. At 709pm she text saying the order will arrive in 20 min. The order didn’t arrive in 20 min it arrived at 745pm which was the delayed time I was given.
The food was hot and really yummy.
I was not offered anything for the one hour extra wait and still charged my delivery fee.

I would highly recommend this restaurant. The food was so delicious. Service was very accommodating and the meat was amazing. This restaurant even has great options for vegetarians or vegans.
The meat is so soft and has such great flavour. There is something here for everyone.

To start with, the pork ribs were dry and flavourless, overcooked and not tender.
The coleslaw tasted like something they bought from Coles (even worse).
The chips were soggy, as if they’d been reheated in the microwave.
If we were buying a $20 takeaway meal, this is acceptable. But we paid almost $100 dollars for this meal. We were left feeling hungry and disappointed.
By the way, I read through all the previous reviews and it’s obvious that the person replying has a temperament of a 5 year old child. So, I’m more than expecting an immature response that blames the customer and does nothing to accept responsibility.
Man, if people are saying your place is overpriced, don’t deflect, listen to them.
Do not recommend this place, unless you want to waste your money.

Had this delivered for father's Day during Melbourne's lockdown (#6). What could have been a groundhog Day with ME cooking something again, or ordering from the same place we do, I decided to do this. And what a great idea it was. Best corn bread, bacon was amazing and I am not one for Mac and cheese, but WOW was it amazing. Plenty of food so everyone was fed very well. Delivered when they said and presented really well
