The Westin Melbourne

The Room was great. Disappointment at the breakfast restaurant. One of the staff was abrapt when we ask her why the description on the memu was different from what was served. Coffee and Tea was served after the main course. If they want people to come back to the city, they have to improve their service. The F& B department should put more staff on.
This is why Australian prefer to go over seas for holidays, better service and cheaper.

We didn't stay at Hotel. So can not comment for that. (Hence not giving the last star) We came for the High Teas, and would recommend it for anyone who may enjoy this kind of services. The High Tea is highly recommended, not only for adults, but for kids too. The food was generous, filling, and delicious. The scones were mmmmm yummy! The staff were very welcoming, friendly and attentive. We could not fault a thing. Even our child enjoyed it thoroughly, wants to come back! Most likely will next school break.

Can’t fault this hotel at all. We were given a free room upgrade and many complimentary drinks. The location was a little hard to find when parking since it was in the middle of the city, but it also made it super convenient as it was close to all the shops and restaurants. Staff were absolutely amazing and made us feel like a million dollars with their great customer service. Special shout out to Ian who made us feel right at home and helped us out with all our needs at the hotel. Can’t wait to be back here again!

Not great value for a mid-range 5 star hotel. Unable to provide breakfast service that was included in my package due to capacity constraints at restaurant (understandable) but the customer centric action would have been to limit breakfast packages or offer an alternative. I did receive a refund for the value of breakfast. Shower water pressure was extremely low - I love rain showers but this one was more of a drizzle. Everything else met standards

This hotel is absolutely beautiful, the staff are all very friendly and extremely helpful, everything l have eaten was perfect, cant wait to come back, thanks for a fabulous anniversary weekend, just amazing Angie

High Seas gin and seafood themed high tea was excellent, very tasty and surprisingly filling. The hotel lobby ambience not so much. Cosier rooms or at least better acoustics (less echo) would've been a much nicer experience.

Checked-in on 8th April for a 3 nights stay. If you think you will be staying at a 5 star hotel, you are wrong. You certainly pay for a 5 star hotel but what you get is different.
Next door construction bang bang bang.paid everything upfront including breakfast and getting charged again for it.on Saturday morning breakfast, ordered teas and coffees and didn’t get them. Asked 3 different wait staff but left without getting served. Deeply disappointed!

A+ large, spacious lobby lounge. Attentive staff and clean, comfortable seating. Spaces between tables are generous. Convenient for private conversations. The food is excellent. Coffee is classic European style.

Located in a prime location, this is a beautiful and relaxing place, close to Melbourne CBD and Yarra River. Everywhere in Melbourne CBD is just a walking distance from this Hotel.
Their High tea is famous and amazing. The restaurant is good, and breakfasts have a good vibe for starting the day.
Rooms are great, large and fully equipped, and more importantly clean and comfortable.
The vault parking is available and makes the life just easier.
All in all, I recommend it to you if you want to spend some time in CBD and visit art galleries, eat in amazing restaurants in South bank and CBD, and have easy access to bars and clubs.

The staff were very friendly. I especially wish to applaud the staff in the restaurant. They managed to provide breakfast in a very friendly manner whilst working under quite difficult conditions.

Reading the rest of the reviews it is clear that the staff at the restaurants are absolutely useless.

Zero customer services skills and a clear lack of training found us ignored by the staff who rather gathered in bunches to look busy.

It's a shame when a bad culture of a small group of staff members can taint a business.

We booked in for the high tea as the final part of my wife's 60th birthday, great service, great food, great experience.

Right in the heart of the city this is a perfect location for a relaxing stay with premium facilities including, full-size bathrooms and comfortable beds. If you choose to have a room with city views you certainly are granted a good aspect from your room.

The staff are friendly courteous and attentive with comfortable facilities. The rooms include wireless charging for your smart phone and in-house movies plus a DVD player.

The smart cards which issued to access the lift or your room may take a bit of getting used to, as they must be inserted a certain way until you get a greenlight to enable you to select your floor or open your room door. Also remember to keep the smart card away from your smart phone as they are very sensitive cards.

Checkin was easy and we were delighted to get a room earlier than the allocated check-in time and also be provided with breakfast in our room booking. Breakfast is provided on the first floor during the hours of 7 to 11am.

Well been staying with Westin around the world and today the Westin Melbourne was so nice to upgrade my Delux spa room to the next level. Sorry by next level I mean. The upgrade was just that same room everything in the room the same but a couple or floors Higher. So I guess if you are paying $500 for a room that is on level 3 its only fair to pay to pay $700 for the same room on level 6. Not really sure what type of con this is but it's a good one. And don't think about saying anything because you should be happy you have to look down in Melbourne from a little higher.

Sad that this was a so called upgrade.

Great hotel, noisy with the underground railway construction but not the hotels fault. Customer service exceeds expectations.

Had to find a nice quiet comfortable space for my family while we waited for our dinner reservation at a near by restaurant. The man opened the door for us and all the staff were attentive and the place was immaculate. Charming, warm, peaceful play. They didn't hassle us because we weren't staying there. They welcomed us in like family. I know what hotel I will be welcoming to guests of Melbourne. This one by a long shot.

By far the best service I have received from a Marriott hotel, and I tend to stay in Marriott more premium properties. The service is on par to that of the St. Regis in New York.

Absolutely should stay there is visiting Melbourne.

Beautiful hotel with a prime location. Absolutely recommend if you are coming as a tourist, for it's magnificent views and ease of accessing the heart of Melbourne at any time. Very friendly staff who are always eager to help and strike a conversation.
