Very slow service and why on earth can't cafes make hollandaise anymore? In response to their response, *I* make hollendaise, I can tell the difference.

One of my favourite cafes in Melbourne! Wonderful staff, delicious food. My favourite breakfasts here are the chilli eggs and eggs benny. Been here over a dozen times, it never disappoints. There is so much competition in the area however this one stands above the rest.

I was in here Sunday morning just after 11am for a coffee. I have been coming to The Quarter for at least 10 years now. I always drop in here when I'm in the city. Coffee was lovely and didn't wait long at all. I love this cafe and the ambience of the laneway. I've always found staff friendly here.

Great service, very good coffee and the food was super tasty. Vegetarian spaghetti was amazing. Will be coming back.

Omg We eat here whenever in Melbourne CBD. Best lunch. Calamari salad popping with flavours. Super tasty soup. Highly recommended!

After 45min of waiting our food still hadn't arrived and wait staff didn't even bother to provide an update.we left.won't be returning

We had 3 totally different types of food and all were very tasty. Lamb salad was very flavoursome and pulled pork burger was also very nice.

The flat white that I ordered was wushy washy
The Vege board - not a lot of love at all… signs of a tired and bored chef.
I hung off from ordering another coffee…
Then decided to go for a piccolo… it came burnt and bitter - such a shame. I had fond memories of “The Quarter” from another time.

Got a severe upset tummy from food even though i spesficly said no dairy, pretty ok local. Just be ultra clear with the wait staff to save an allergic reaction

Lovely staff and food. Toast is good, get a single slice, add tomato and an egg to have a low cost snack meal.

Refreshingly modern take of traditional Italian cuisine, beautiful setting with ample room to social distance, matched only by the excellent service.

This is a great café in Degraves street. The BLT was tasty, could do with a relish to finish it. Coffee was great. Would be good if the tables weren’t as squished together outside however. Is one of the more popular cafes in the Melbourne Laneways.

Nice little place, always reliable to take a date or a mate to and get a good feed. Crowded atmosphere.

If I have the time in the morning, it's my go to favourite place for breakfast. The Quarter Eggs Benedict has a delicious apple cider hollandaise that makes my mouth water even thinking about it.
