I would rate it less than one star if i could. I ordered a short stack with cream and asked for a side of strawberries which i expected to be maybe $2 extra. When i went to pay, i was charged $6.90 for the strawberries alone and then additional for the short stack. My order was around $13, i could've ordered a proper stack of pancakes with cream, strawberries and extras for $11 which wouldve contained 4 pancakes instead of 2. When i questioned nicely the lady serving me she rudely told me it was stated on the menu the cost of extras, inclusive of strawberries.then she walked off.i waited for her to come back after looking at the menu to see no statement of the cost of strawberries and asked where it was, to where she said on the menu, i asked her to show me and she said oh, they updated the menu today. VERY overpriced, not stated and extremlely poor customer service.could buy 3 punnets of strawberries at coles lmao.

It's great that the Pancake parlour offers a vegan menu. Service was friendly, but it was obvious that the venue was understaffed on a busy night and the workers were really under the pump.

Too busy and noisy, babies and children crying and screaming and getting a big headache from it. People have no consideration for others.

A nice place for all your pancakes needs (and breakfast style food as well). We had the sweet medley and chocolate chip pancakes. Our toddler had the dragon shake (very green!), with sprinkles and whip cream. We also had cappuccino and latte which was ok (had better). Great place for birthday parties with big spacious rooms

This was the worst meal I have ever had. I had the farmers breakfast, what they call a “hash brown” was thin burnt potato flakes. The pancakes were very heavy and sticky, the fried eggs were too oily. The only tasty thing in my meal was actually the orange juice.
My partner had the Mexican crepe and he also said this is actually THE WORST meal we ever had!

Average food, inconsistant meal sizes, basic - extremely slow service, VERY over priced. Save your money.

Cottage fries were burnt, chicken strips was just a cut up schnitzel, Parma sauce probably from coles.

This place is one of the few places where all the kids are happy even the most fussy child will never sook about pancake parlour! Every visit has been great I've never had any issues with food here and doubt I ever will. I love the milkshakes here 100% best part of my visits! Service was excellent very friendly! Service was great (I believe Emma served us) ; she was very attentive and pleasant.
Sad to say I was so excited for amazing pancakes that everyone talks about but was disappointed to receive very dry pancakes on a plate that had smears and tea towel fluff on it. Was also surprised to see that the half serve of cottage chips was extremely overpriced for less than a handful amount of what turned out to be soggy wedges with a messy smattering of limp spring onion and sour cream.
I feel like a much better job could have been done considering how quiet it was in the parlour. Am sad to say that I probably won't be back.

A nice place but found it to be expensive. Reminds me of iHop in the US but this one is far more expensive. Food isn’t that bad but it isn’t that special that I would shell out money unnecessarily.
I would rather have a franchise of iHop. That brings up the question how will iHop do in Melbourne. Actually I’m not sure how it will actually do. I have seen some of the people in Melbourne being biased towards the local Aussie restaurants at times whether they are good or not.
Also, this is a family owned unlike iHop which is like Burger King or Chick Filets chain of fast foods.

Food was good, but the service was lacking. After being seated, we waited 20 minutes for someone to take our order, but 3 of the wait staff were chilling by the bar having a chat. When the girl who seated us did pass us, we looked at her in the eye, smiled & made little gestures to say we were ready, but she looked straight through us.
For drinks, we ordered water & a mountain malt; a couple who had been seated after we had ordered, received mountain malts before we had even got any water. I don't see the logic in that.
It wasn't until another waiter came and asked if we had ordered, that things started moving. Although our drinks (& cutlery) still arrived after our food, about 45-55 minutes after we had been seated. The young male waiter apologised for the wait, & the poor guy seemed to be the only one of the wait staff actually trying, while the others seemed like they were just waiting for their shifts to end.
However, Pancake Parlour has consistently good food, with a decent variety for different dietary needs; so I must say that.
As an understanding person, I'd normally let this slide & wouldn't comment, but it was at least 45 minutes before we got simple glasses of tap water, so something has to be said, so they can improve.

Coffee was great but food wasn’t. Even worse was the time it took for it to reach our table - more than an hour!

Customer service is so important and tonight was really disappointing. When you are busy this is the time you need to step up the service. After being seated we ordered within five minutes. 40 minutes later Two Vienna coffees and two hot balls. Arrived. We were just about to walk out. The coffee was grainy like it had not been filtered. The hot ball the chocolate was cold and hadn’t even been melted correctly. We did get a sorry for the delay when they put the food and drinks down. Going to pay and one of the managers didn’t even ask how was the meal or thankyou for coming. As a manager you need to lead by example and embrace feedback. Step up the service and I think additional training required. The service and quality was really poor compared to the standards you use to have. Very disappointing night

Shocking customer service, we were forced to eat our food with no water, even though we had asked the waiters numerous times for water, in the end one of us literally had to go to the kitchen and ask someone for water! Our water had finally come after all of us had finished our food
