The Pancake Parlour, Malvern East reviews
76 Absolutely stellar staff.
The cost to food ratio was pretty poor unfortunately, but it didn't taste bad, it was just overpriced
The pancakes are great. The only downside is service. Took a long time before to be served and we were only after attracting sometimes attention.
Other than that, was a great visit.
Reliable quality, no frills, you know what you are getting for breakfast, always consistent
A great special occasion restaurant. Good food and superb atmosphere on Father’s Day. Fully packed restaurant, but we enjoyed the meal and our time there. The location is great, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We ordered different items to taste and try, and we liked them all. Enough parking and the wait time was minimum. It's a bit pricy, but it's not your everyday restaurant. Hope you enjoy your meal!
The food was ok, but the service was terrible. We waited ages to be seated, then just as long to order.
The food came surprisingly quickly, given how long we had waited to be seated.
The hot chocolate was terrible, at almost $9 it had an awful grainy mouth feel.
Not bad for a night out for us.manage to get a seat and had our menu given to us and within a few minutes or so we had the drinks following with the hot cakes we order.
First time here, actually never knew this was here after passing this intersection all this time. Decently sized portions, orange juice was so nice.
Interior is welcoming and so is the staff.
Absolutely loved the vegan chocnana crunch pancake (thanks to their winter specials, got it for just $10) and the vegan swiss malt was delicious too

Atmosphere is nice and it is a great option when you're craving something sweet at stupid hours of the night.
Used to love this place, I was very disappointed with the portion size. The pancakes used to be much bigger! It seems like every year they get smaller and more expensive!
$30 for burned Spinach & Feta crepe. $8 for the smallest 1/2 order of cottage fries I’ve seen. Add sour cream or sweet chilli sauce for $4.20 - $4.50. Even with inflation this is radiculous. You lost my business. There are plenty of restaurants that are struggling that care about providing good quality food at a reasonable price this isn’t one in my opinion. Service was absent. Good luck finding wait staff. The bones in my son’s fish n’ chips were free.
A delicious meal along with amazing customer service makes for a good time! Anastasia our waitress was so lovely, helpful, attentive and is an asset to this place. Thanks so much
The sour lady running the front desk was useless there was a line out the door she wasnt calling anyones names, their orders were going cold.i had to walk to the back of the line and call out names and tell people their food was called 10 minutes ago.the orders coming out were missing items and we had to come back as did many others.during lockdown the struggle was real to pickup an order from here.hopefully its better organised when you eat in.
We were rushed in & out was given what I didn't order, it tasted ordinary as well. Needless to say won't be going back anytime soon.
Our experience was fantastic! Thank you to all the staff, most friendly and welcoming! My daughter celebrated her birthday and had a wonderful time!
One of my favourite places to go to. Love the vibe and the food. The chocolate Swiss mountain malt is absolutely amazing! Thank you.
Who doesn't love pancakes?
This place is the best!
Pancakes with maple syrup, roasted walnuts, ice cream with a caramelised sauce.
HEAVEN!
Table service was very slow…. Had to help ourselves cutlery… no plates to eat entree… very expensive for pancakes… won’t be going back again.
Easily the best Pancake Parlour in Melbourne. The service is fast and friendly. The tables are comfortable and there's great natural light. The food is value for money.
So, never had such an experience of any other place.
We ordered their potatoe pancake and spinach crepes during lockdown, wanted to try them. But they were so disappointing
First the quantity was very little compared to the price and potatoe pancakes were very oily and kind of inedible. The crepes had oil in them which was surprising and they were so crispy
Live next to it but never gonna wast money on it
Found a hair embedded in the Pancake and the manager Jack said he can't come because he is busy. I can see him sitting on the other side but somehow his time is more important than a healthy and safety of a customer. Pathetic service. Need to file a complaint against this behavior.
