The Laurel Hotel reviews
77Fun pub for a trivia night and enjoyed ourselves but nothing stood out or created urgency for a return visit. Firmly sits in the "yeah it's okay" category. Food was standard pub fare (pasta steak etc) and beer taps are fitted for the "classic taste" regulars (generic mass market brews). Worth checking out if you live nearby and need somewhere to hang out.
Lovely service from the young bartender Sam. Perfectly cooked calamari, a thourely lovely girls night out.
Dropped in for a meal on way back from airport. I had the barramundi and my wife had the crispy salmon. Both meals were very nice. Relaxed atmosphere finished off with a cappacino.
Great vibe! We came here for a Trivia Night and it was fantastic! The food is pretty tasty with quite a large range of pub meals and the pricing is very reasonable. Service was great and it didn’t take long to grab our meals considering the Bistro area was full of trivia attendees! Would definitely return and recommend as a fun night out.
Was pleasantly surprised. Beautiful meal, reasonably priced and superb presentation on the deserts
Parmas there are tasty and filling. The chips are very crispy as well. The pork rib that came on the americano is juicy too.
Great venue, staff and atmosphere fantastic.the meal.equally as fantastic. Had the lunch special menu, 1 or 2 course with a glass of wine.excellent value. Highly recommended.
Went there for Mother's Day it was very crowded which was a bit problematic because it was hard to get in and out of your seat as for the meal I had pumpkin gnocchi which was not very nice would not recommend the meal or the pub.
Great hotel, if only for the awesome rooftop deck. Also have some great beers available. Awesome atmosphere.
Went here a few weeks ago, food was very subpar and the bartender didn't seem very interested in serving us. Wanted to buy something that was advertised on the building front but was told that they haven't done that for a long time. Drink prices fair.
Had what we thought, a simple school reunion! Found the Laurel to be a good option. Booked for about 120, but in the end we had a 200! Food was excellent, bar staff professional and in the end, we all had a great afternoon and night. Hard to find a flexible place to do what we did, and the ever helpful Megan, made it all work. Go the Laurel!
My dear friend held his 40th in a function room upstairs. The staff were lovely and the food was delicious. Great night!
$50 steak was inconsistently cooked and of poor quality, one slight positive was the mushroom sauce which was nice but would have expected something much better for the price. The chicken parma was dry and flavourless, one of the worst I've had. Pizza had an under-cooked base, toppings were fine although the chicken was a little rubbery. Drinks were a fair price and the outside area we sat in was clean. Overall if your coming for drinks I think this place might be fine but the food is a rip off and I'd suggest going to any of the other numerous places in the area.
We had a function in their upstairs space and they were very accommodating. There were AV hook ups and TV for our presentation and we were able to hook up our own music in that space. The staff are very welcoming and provide great service.
Staff are rude, Price's way too high. No atmosphere, trying to be champagne on a beer budget, give a Miss.
The Laurel seems to have a great deal menu every night of the week. Parma’s on Thursday for $16 is hard to beat.
The food is always top notch, and the staff are fantastic. I love working so close to the Laurel!
