The Laurel Hotel

Lunch today @ The Laurel Hotel was & amazing. Super fresh OYSTERS, natural & Kilpatrick, also garlic bread with cheese was our entree. The absolute highlight for me was the Frutti De Mare Linguini (seafood linguini). Don't go past this dish it is simply to die for. I will be back.

I had my 60th birthday in the Middle Bar of the Laurel last Saturday night and could not have wished for a better experience. The room was perfect as it gave people space between different groups talking and then became a spacious dance floor once the joints were lubricated. The finger food was delicious and served in a timely manner throughout the night. I believe the chicken pieces were the hit of the night and all food was consumed. A big thanks to Megan for steering me in the right direction with the setting up and ably assisted by Tilly and Craig on the night. I would definitely recommend for any future functions.

Best hotel ever went for a friends 21st and it was great alll the stafff where very accommodating and kind and the owner was absolutely amazing super kind 100% recommendationed this place

We hired The Middle Bar for my husband’s 50th & had the best night. The staff were fabulous with no waiting for drinks & so friendly. Communication on where we were up to on our tab couldn’t have been better. Made a few changes to our requirements on the fly but nothing was an issue & the night was totally seamless & went off without a hitch. Had so many comments from people at the party about what a great night it was & how good the venue is. Would totally recommend The Laurel for a stress free function. Will be returning for our next big celebration

Fantastic feed and great service, loved those beer battered fries and the great parmi, the beer was good too.

This was a stop in, unplanned but we have stumbled on a gem! Owners are so friendly and service was amazing and our lunch was stunning, compliments to the chief.
We got chatting to the new owner who purchased just prior to covid hitting, gave us a bit of history on the old pub, was truly a great place to hang for a couple of hours.
We will definitely be back!

Really poor meals tonight. Not as good as it use to be. When pork belly is on a menu it should come out so tender you shouldn't even need a steak knife to cut through it, not to mention it should have crispy crackle on top. Very disappointing. Staff need to pay more attention to what the customer has asked to be changed on their order, not completely forgot. Won't hurry to go back unfortunately

We had such a wonderful time celebrating my 50th birthday Upstairs at the Laurel.
The staff could not have done more to make sure everyone one was well fed, well hydrated and well looked after. The food was beautiful and there was alot of it! Such a wide selection on offer. The function space is so roomy and offers lots of areas to congregate for a chat or a dance.

Stopped into The Laurel while visiting from QLD on a recent Monday night. Hadn't been in the pub for over 30 years since left Victoria. Ambience, cleanliness, service and the meals where the best we had experienced while in Melbourne.suggest the Pork Belly.best I have had.

Took my family for our Xmas eve dinner! We all loved it, dinner was so delicious and satisfying.

Had a great time there for a friend's 40th birthday party. The staff were very friendly.

Our first visit in the recommendation from a work colleague. Friendly and welcoming, generous and delicious meals.
We had the slightest hiccup with our order.and we got honesty about the problem, an apology and the quickest possible resolution. You can't ask for more.
A local gem we'll be back to support again. I'll update the review when we get to try out the rooftop!

I like it. Particularly Friday nights happy hour.
Bar has been freshened up and much brighter.

Our group had dinner in the Bistro on a Saturday evening half of our groups mains were brought out while we were eating our entrees and our entree plates were left on our table while eating our mains.
There seemed plenty of staff for the guests dinning

Good local pub, friendly environment, great food and staff are so helpful and friendly. Excellent service

Used to rate this place, but last Friday night, mid summer, about a dozen patrons in.last drinks at 9.15, sent on our way at 9.30. Good luck getting people back to their local pub with rubbish like this. Will definitely be patronising the Ascot Vale hotel or Union instead.
