The Hobby Man reviews
72Don't even bother dealing with these guys for info. They send you to an external website for product info and there's not much there either. I was sent a carton of products with no information at all. Not even a warning to purchase a LiPO bag prior to charging. The details were found on the battery found after purchase. No paperwork was included in the packaging of any website links. A little concerning when you are dealing with LiPo batteries as a beginner due to the fire danger involved with charging and storage.
Brought a wooden ship model opened the unsealed box in the car looked at it, saw the ship hull was one piece and was nothing like what we thought it would be wasn't happy with it, put the sealed bags back in the unsealed box, walked back into the store explained why we wanted a refund, less than 10mins from purchase and they wouldn't give a refund, would only give store credit. Really not happy.
Taking my business to Metro Hobbies from now on at least their refund policy cares about their customers
Always great service here and excellent range. Love how they are happy to give you advice to make your own repairs successful. Top work!
This is the first scale model that I have bought from Hearns Hobbies or The Hobbyman and I am impressed. Their prices are very competitive, roughly the same as other hobby suppliers that I have previously used, but their customer service is exceptional and in this instance superior to their competitors. I can’t wait to start building this model and look forward to placing further orders with Hearns.
Great place with a wide range of products and accesories.
Staff is very knowledgable and amazingly helpful. They spent so many hours helping my son selecting parts and troubleshooting of his project.
Super awesome store! All the things you need and way more you didn’t realise you did…
The staff know there stuff and are very happy to help.
If I had one complaint it is that I always leave with more than I came for…. First world problems
Dealt with another hobby shop in Melbourne with very little success, contacted The Hobbyman and honestly they could not have been more helpful, very very happy with the service they provided, would highly recommend. ️
Absolute legends these guys are. Quick to the point, know their stuff and know how to diagnose issues super quick and very fair prices. Support your local hobby shop and go to the Hobby man. Thanks again guys
Keep local hobby shops alive! Always support hobbyman as much as I can. The guys in there always help you out.
Large shop area with loads of stock catering for many hobbies like trains, cars planes etc. Good range of landscape materials for diorama. Reasonable range of tools and some spares too. New trains are mainly Hornby UK style. On line stock levels seem to be accurate, so a check before going could save time. Close to the freeway exit and has loads of off street parking in a large warehouse style shopping complex.
The best hobby shop going.
Always great help from everyone there.
Ben is a guru with nitros and a gentleman.
Went in to get last minute Christmas gifts, the people were lovely and we're eager to help out.
Spoke with Steve help me find the part I wanted called back with in 10 min all the details. Great Custer Service
The staff are always helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about their products. My boys love their remote control cars this place is the best place to go for quality.
Bought 5 cans of Tamiya spray paint at a very reasonable price. Be back again. Cheers to Hearns Hobbies.
Great help and knowledge with helping me purchase the right rc car for me.
Nice collection of models and other modelling needs.
I was also happy to see some war gaming things that I'll make a trip back for.
Guys there know there stuff. And very friendly. Any ways you are happy to see so many toys there + good service makes the day. Cheers guys
Very friendly, helped my young son choose a RC kit, great advice and just super easy to deal with.
I recently purchased an arrowmax tool set from the Hobbyman and unfortunately it was out of stock. However, they organised a replacement tool set that was extremely generous. Thanks Hobbyman
Always nice to go to hobby man, decent range of miniture paints and sculpting tools for mini painters and I like that I can check stock levels on the site before I head down. If you're in the east side looking for Vallejo paints or tamiya it's your best bet.
