The Dark Essence was the perfect place for me to get my first tattoo. They have many talented artists that have amazing work. A special shout out to my artist Ludan Jiang, she is a really talented artist who walked me through the entire process and just in general lovrly and sweet person. I would highly recommend The Dark Essence to anyone who wants a quality tattoo.

Had a delightful experience with Shane at Dark Essence. Had to wrap up my 9 month Melbourne trip with a tattoo and Shane and I bonded over our love for ABC Kids shows (I got a Bluey-inspired tattoo). Everyone was super friendly and I would happily go back. I’m recommending my family go there since they’re looking to get a couple tattoos soon.

Had my second tattoo today, very professional Job. The artist was informative, very competent, did a written script under my Eureka flag of the Oath. I am very pleased with The Dark Essence gallery & the people running it. I see people even fly here from Sydney, stay overnight then return just to get tattooed here. That says a lot about the service & quality of work I reckon.

I had the lovely Joey tattoo me. I told her what I wanted and left the design up to Joey. She done such an outstanding job and I do highly recommend her. The staff are very accommodating. Even if you don't get Joey the other staff do such an amazing job. I'll defiantly be back to get more work done by Joey.
