Laura did an amazing job with my tattoo. Offered great expert advice on size and placement, and did an amazing job with the piece I had done. Incredible shading and line work, I couldnt be happier. All staff at the studio went out of their way to be approachable and helpful. Thankyou again.

First tattoo and could not have asked for a better result especially considering it was for representing my son and the attention to detail was amazing. Thank you Shane for your work and the hospitality at Dark Essence. Will be back in the not too distant future.

Booked with apprentice full day 7hr session as advertised for $600, went for 9hrs actually late in the evening and left with an unfinished tattoo. So disappointed and then was advised to come back in 3 weeks to complete with an additional fee of $200 to be charged. Not happy! This half sleeve should've finished on the day. The stencil took 2.5hrs on the day of my appointment to sort out in my tattooing time. References should be prearranged days before the appointment, not last minute. Need another tattoist to finish off pay more $$$$$ as the Trust was broken. This sleeve meant so much to me. Devastated client & fully respect all Professional Tattoist out there, l take my hat off to YOU ALL that deliver references with client satisfaction. Tattooing is an Art and tremendous skill.

Went to Mill for a rose Tattoo down my sternum and I am so beyond happy with how it turned out and the process during. He is beyond talented, thoughtful, professional and made the whole process so comfortable and easy, listened to what I wanted and delivered it effortlessly.
For someone who gets anxiety in new places and finds tattoo studios intimidating, Mill and everyone in the studio were very welcoming and comfortable to be around and put me at ease as soon as I walked in. The studio itself and decor/layout is amazing, and by far my favourite I’ve been to. Thank you

Had a wonderful time at Dark Essence getting my first Tattoo. It was a paw print from my dog Meg whom we lost. Dusty did a great job giving me a life like representation of her paw. And thank you to Justine who was the kindest stranger and bought my tat, thank you so so much, you made a special experience truly unique!

This store has to be the coolest athletic tattoo parlour I’ve ever been to! The staff and artists are incredibly lovely and the place is so hygienic and prices are great! So much talent I couldn’t recommend this place enough. I’ve got a few but if you are nervous and wanting your first tattoo I highly recommend going here. No doubt I’ll be revisiting for more soon.

Had a tattoo done with Shane and was very happy with the result. He sketched up 3 drafts and was happy to make changes to the final product to make it look as good as he could.
