The Crispy Catch Fish & Chips Ringwood East reviews
51As always very good value, beautifully cooked piece of barramundi, crisp chips & the great South Melb market dimmies. All cooked and served by happy friendly staff. So lucky to live nearby.
This place is decent. The fish was quite good, particularly the crumbed/grilled fish which was tasty, the fried fish was ok. The chips were decent too but not rave worthy. The service and food prep were quite fast from the time I walked in the door. The store hasn’t embraced the cashless world we live in so this definitely knocks it down a little. I would eat there again, but I don’t think it hits my favourites list yet.
One of the best giro lamb souvlakis I’ve had from a fish & chip shop, the owner is also super friendly and maintains a really clean shop. Highly recommended
Hard to review the food when you call at 8.06pm, get told sorry we shut off orders at '10 past to quarter past, and the place closes at 8.30.
Great food and really great owners. Didn’t realize it was no eftpos and only had my phone handy for tap and pay. Told the owners they insisted I eat my meal and come back tomorrow to settle the bill (I came back a couple of hours later). Great first time experience and amazing food. Only minor point was the lack of cans of coke in the fridge!
Well done - will 150% be back
I would of previously given this place 5 stars, but unfortunately our last 4/5 trips have been mediocre. I kept going back thinking it might be just an off night, however I now don’t think I’ll be back.
First time trying TCC, was very impressed. Snapper was so crisp and not oily at all and chips were a decent portion.will definitely be back!
Great service, predictably delicious fish and chips, and if I ever go elsewhere, I'm usually disappointed, so that's it, these guys are my faves!
Wanted to give it a 0 star but this system won't allow it. Was told on a Friday night 30min wait which is fine after we got through to the phone because there were so many people, but ended up waiting 55min, nearly an hour, to eventually end up with soggy chips. Definitely not impressed at all. Has been okay in the past, but this means our family is never coming back again since the staff were not nice either. Too busy dealing with Menulog orders and not enough focus on the people who actually come into the shop, the local customers!
The best fish and chips around. They also have spit roaster on coals but sometimes their souvies are not great. They are super busy so phone early to order.
