NOT IMPREESSED - WASTE OF MONEY. This is our go to fish and chips and has been for over 8 year, but after tonight not anymore. After spending almost $80 we were given cold soggy fish and chips. This was due to us having to wait at least 20mins after the fish and chips were ready for our HSP, which in the end wasn't worth the wait as it was horrible. The fish cakes aren't real fish cakes any more, dont think there is any resemblance to fish cakes, the flake was tastless, the minimum chips has halved in volume and the Dims Sims were burnt. Upside the dog enjoyed her dinner. Hope these new owners take note as if this is what they are now serving they will lose a lot more customers guaranteed.

Look, this is a good fish and chips shop. The fish is good. The chips are good. But man their veggie burgers suck. Old lettuce, a couple slices of unripe tomato and that veggie patty that has some corn, peas and carrot and is fried and has no real taste. Very disappointing. It's like they only have it on the menu to tick the vegetarian box. Nevertheless, this is only one aspect of the restaurant and I don't believe the quality of the veggie burgers reflects the standard of the restaurant as a whole. But until they change the recipe, don't order the veggie burger.

Ordered Fish souvlaki and Fish burger for dinner on Wednesday. Total 20.90 AUD. There is no surcharge for Card payments.

The Fish souvlaki was overall quite nice. The only downside, as per most souvlakis, was that it got quite wet towards the bottom, and sauce was spilling everywhere.

I requested fried fillets for the Fish burger, which they were happy to serve. The burger was well balanced. However it was a bit under-seasoned.

Good place for quick bites!

Loved the barra I had for lunch meal today. The fish was fresh and juicy, chips were crispy. Nothing to complaint about!

I wish I could leave more stars. This has got to be the best fish and chips in the area, and they're now open Mondays! We had a family pack on Monday with a Greek salad. Everything tasted like really good quality food, the salad was made fresh and full of everything you want in it. Not a cheap salad with one olive and mainly lettuce, like some places. It was all delicious. Kids loved the fish bites, flake was of good quality and not like every other rubbery piece you buy elsewhere in the area. Really impressed and will definitely be back. Please don't ever compromise on your food quality - one of the best fish and chip shops ever!

Best souvlaki in this area！Had it for lunch today, and it was a huge serve, and very flavourful. Definitely worth the money

Best Fish and Chips in the East of Melbourne. However i always get grilled fish and the rest od my family get fried, my grilled fish has never been hot, always cold, like its been cooked way before the rest of the order.

Beyhond shocking waiting times!
I have never ordered before and not waited less than 2 hours.
They also process their orders based on when they were ordered/ processed, so it is inconvenient for people who say only want dinner for one person.
They need to work on their timing and processing of orders.

Spent $70 and didnt even get what i wanted because a gyros apparently is just meat and not actually a gyros like the Greeks invented with either usually chicken or pork (lamb) in a pita with usually tomato onion and tzatziki, very disappointing getting home to a tray of meat. Also 2/4 potato cakes were just the batter with no potato, and furthermore no free drink after spending over $50 really pulled the heart string

So disappointing. Called in order and was told 1hr 15min wait. Understandable with lots of places closed at the moment. Went to pick up and was told about 15 more minutes. Around 20 or so people waiting outside the shop getting angrier by the minute. Some had been standing in the cold for 45 mins past their pick up time already. True wait ended up being more than 2 hours. Many waiting commented that they were being greedy taking advantage of many shops closed by accepting more orders than they could handle or extremely bad management that the staff weren't truthful about the 2 hours plus wait, I'm guessing they will lose many customers after this debacle.
Worst part is when I finally get home to my hungry kids, the potato cakes we ordered were missing and the chips were so bad we ended up throwing most of it out. Such a waste of time, I won't be going back even if they are the only fish and chip shop open.

My Uber order took 2 hours to complete and then 1/2 the potato cakes were burned? ! If they cannot manage the demand on the weekend then more people need to be employed! I have 4 children, and waiting for 2 hours for food is not ok.

Outstanding service and food. Has been one of our go to fast food restaurants since our first visit.

The Crispy Catch has quickly become our local choice for a takeaway meal. The fish and chips is always cooked to perfection and isn't greasy. The chicken souvlaki is also delicious. It is clear to see that the entire team, both customer facing and non facing, care about the business.

Excellent quality for both their F&C and their Souvlaki. Friendly service. Pity they don’t take credit card.

Fantastic and friendly staff. Puts every other fish and chip shop to shame. Recommend a hsp on a Sunday morning.

Delicious fish and chips, makes the other places look bad. Fish batter is light and crispy, chips are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Food isn't greasy at all. Friendly service.

Disappointing to ring to place an order at 8.10pm to be told that they had turned off the grills - your menu states shuts at 8.30pm.maybe you need to clarify when last order need to be placed by.

I went there with my Dad for lunch this morning and I had a Grilled Blue Grenadier with 2 Steamed Dim Sims, $1 Chips plus a Potato Cake to the home and my Dad 2 Steamed Dim Sims but with soy sauce. We both enjoyed it. Tony was kind to us and the service was amazing.
