The Cove Hotel

We have been coming here since 2000 with mostly bad experiences with staff and food. However, we came there for lunch on 8 December 2019 and we had a lady called I think Shaney looking after us. The food was the best it's ever been, but the lady looking after us couldn't have done a better job. Well done to her and I hope the managers really acknowledge the work she does with the customers.

This is a well hidden gem, go in and order some fresh tank beer, have a great generously sized meal, with a view of the marina

Food is terrible. Time and time again we have eaten here and every time it’s such a disappointment. Pity it’s so close to home and is a great location. A new chef would make all the difference!

Very nice on the deck, food was great, staff (especially Michelle & Meaghan) were awesome, especially when we had a health issue with an elderly guest. Will definitely be back again. SOON.

Lovely setting on the water and varied menu available. I wish they had more salads for those wanting a healthy meal, but other than that I can't fault them. Service is great with waiters checking often of we needed extra drinks. Gluten free and vegetarian options are available. Plenty of parking available outside the restaurant

First time to The Cove. Found staff to be friendly. Food good but a bit over priced for quality. Veiw and atmosphere on point. Would go back. Thanks for a great boxing day lunch.

We couldn’t have asked for more! Food was great, location was perfect & the staff were amazing! A very special mention to Meaghan & Michelle who went above & beyond as we had a health scare with our 90 year old Mum! You ladies were awesome, we cannot thank you enough!

Sevice is fairly efficient, and somewhat friendly. Not bad food, but not worth what they charge. This is NOT Brighton Yacht Club, so get real with the prices!

Cove, Patterson Lakes has the most beautiful outlook over the water and Marina. Spectacular views on the balcony. The decor is exquisite but alas the food is letting them down. We dined on NYE and they ran out of portions and dishes on menu.we all went home hungry. We didn't eat. Yes they gave us a few bowls of chips complimentary They need to work on food NOW and FAST. Disappointing.

It was my first time here and I will definitely be returning, the food was amazing the service was average in the beginning but we dealt with Shanae during our time there and she made up for the lack of enthusiasm from the other floor staff we dealt with.

I feel it was reasonablely priced and serving sizes quite generous so I don't understand why all the other reviews say small servings as we all literally waddled out after our meals, really great atmosphere:)

Wouldn't reccomend going without booking first. We were made to feel like dirty beggers off the street. Food is nice and staff were ok

Stopped for lunch, our table was overlooking the marina which was perfectly located for the beautiful day. Service was good, staff friendly & efficient. Food was overpriced which was the only disappointment of the experience.

Our waiter Doc whom we have had many times serving us makes the night with his friendly professional character. Lots of places can serve great food but a great waiter makes the night.

Already had a bad experience here, it sucks because I used to come here as a child. Tried bring my partner here today and yet again another bad experience. The waitress named Michelle is rude and talks over you as well as staring. Small portions of food still and still over priced. The only thing this place has going is the view.
The food taste good but definitely way to expensive considering the portion.
Sorry guys won’t be coming here again, and I definitely won’t recommend to my friends.

We waited over an hour and a half and the when we finally got the food meal was cold.would not recommended to friends

Lovely inside. Only went in for a quick drink with a friend, after a sunset walk along the Dandenong Creek Trail which is right along side Patterson River. You can easily get to The Cove from the trail. Staff were very attentive and polite. Will definitely have a meal there in the near future. Would of given 5 stars, but I think the pokie machines spoil any venue. It's a shame there so many around.

Beautiful restaurant, great views with the boats moored at the docks, friendly wait staff and the food is scrumptious

I found this to be a very poor service because of the wait and the quality of the food.i found myself wait for nearly over 2 hours for my food than the quality of the food was average.the food is way to pricey for the quality and i will not recommend this to any other people.
