Ripped customers off. Had a $2 coupon for a Uni event and bought a pint of beer that was supposed to be $6.50 but they charged $9.50!

Great spot for an afternoon beer - food was aweful though. I had the Caesar salad - do not order!

Rating says it all. Reasonably busy even midweek. Locals/tradesman/workers. Menu is pretty average

This is the local pub for the north-east quadrant of the University of Melbourne, and consequently it can get pretty busy. The front bar is often full of locals, most of whom I have found to be unfriendly.

The interior has been constantly improving, but the food is still average. The drinks are reasonably priced, but not so varied.

Busy and lively place. Food tasted decent but took a long time to prepare. Things like salt shakers weren't well-stocked. The specials of the day are good value but the rest may not be.

Fantastic pub, great food, great atmosphere, awesome staff, facilities are above average. And the new rooftop bar is must, with great a view of the city. Trams at the front door, so leave your car at home.

Quite a good pub feed. If you go for the steak maybe order it one less well-done than you actually want.

Last came here years ago. Fair to say it's a bit different now. Nicely done up. Good was good. Could do with a few better tap options.

One of the best pubs in Melbourne with a great menu and very reasonably priced. Even better with a car park next door. Even the car park is well below the prices you expect to pay.
Overall this place is amazing

Spent number of times here drinking and getting drunk while studying at unimelb, even had some social gatherings after graduation, lovely place.

Service was pretty good! Requested rare steak and got it blue and cold which made it like rubber because it was a porterhouse. Let the staff know and they were good about it.

Probably a one off mistake. I'll go back and try again one day soon.

A good local uni pub. It has a front bar, side bar, back bar and courtyard, right in the heart of Carlton. An institution for uni students and locals.

One of the best, if not the best pub in the city. I've never met friendlier staff, food is always great, I'll be returning.

Parma was delicious. Wide array of tap beers, friendly and helpful staff. Will come back all the time.
