The Clyde Hotel

An incredible pub just seconds away from the University of Melbourne. I've been to the Clyde on a number of occasions and have always felt a warm and welcoming atmosphere. They do a great job at accommodating for a number of different crowds, from college students to Carlton locals. Very reasonable prices and there are often deals on some very good quality pub food. I've only ever had minimal issues here, and it is a venue that really respects your patronage. The rooftop also has a wonderful ambience if you go at the right time.

I had dinner with friends at this place last night, portions were small for the money we paid. This is not the way you deal with inflation guys…

Highly recommend this wonderful bar just off Lygon Street in the heart of Carlton. Nina & crew were so lovely & friendly. It’s a large but very welcoming & clean venue with lots of space inside, beer gardens & also a roof top garden. Lots of food choices on the menu & drinks are very reasonably priced. A really great place to meet friends & enjoy the return of normal life.

Perfect place. Great parmas. The footy is always on. Even if you're the only guy in the entire venue wanting to watch Freo v GWS, they'll find you a spot. 11/10

This place was absolutely pumping a couple of weeks back. Such a great vibe. Solid uni crew, with something for everyone. Staff treated us like family. Absolutely love this place! Staff are fantastic and really look after their customers food is amazing - huge pub meals as well as some more fancy bistro options. The atmosphere is lovely and attracts a real mix of people. Really haven’t found a pub as good as this one! Can’t wait to go back

A friendly, traditional Australian pub with a great range of food and drinks. The chips in particular are very tasty, and the parma and burgers are delicious. Can’t wait to go back when the lockdown ends.

A great traditional hotel on the edge of carlton suitable for functions. They have great food as well.

Wonderful pub with several areas including al fresco. Warm welcoming atmosphere with friendly helpful staff that are funny. Top finger food was distributed. An excellent location for any occasion. The bar tender is very experienced knowing how to whip up the drink of your dreams and when to stop pouring!

Solid pub but watch out for beer recommendations. Was told if I liked this beer then I will love this other beer, gave it a shot, undrinkable, expensive, not similar in taste at all, just beer style and my friends agreed, left 80% of a pint as no one could stand it.

Regular stomping ground, great service, drinks selection and ooh hawaiian parma highly recommend

Great customer service, they are attentive and their house made food is excellent. We have had functions here for the last 4 years and I think that over time it keeps getting better and better. We had their platters for our function this time and it was amazing! Thanks Team!

Oh dear, we possibly caught them on a bad night but 4 meals ordered, all received progressively over 40 minutes. One meal cold, 3 had chips cold, mine didn't have sides that were ordered/part of menu. They ran out of potato for the bangers and mash, and 2 of us had upset tummies next day! Sorry will never go back.

MOUSE PROBLEM. I went a week ago, finished my lunch and saw a mouse with his mouse wife and family go on a day trip around the dining room.

This place has caught the attention of different age groups: students, young adults, and even professionals, having good time-drinking and watching AFL (or any game).
The beers tastes fresh and the ambience is good, too!
With all the photos hanging on wall, I can tell that this pub in clyde hotel is a vintage one and muat see when in Carlton!

Love it here. Used to come here heaps in uni and it has stayed great. Cheap and decent food and booze in a nice setting. What more could you ask for?

If you looking for a pub to hangout, this would be the best option, also the meals are so tasty and friendly staff.

Walked in had a quick beer to start the afternoon. The bartender was a cool dude and discounted us when the drink pour did not fill the shot glass.
