The Boot Factory reviews
73 First time dining here we had breakfast, chilli scrambled eggs were absolutely amazing best i have ever had, and a Tumeric smoothie. Will definitely be coming back again.
Awesome job guys.
Came here with a friend upon her recommendation that this was an incredible cafe - and fortunately it lived up to its reputation. A fantastic little cafe situated in Coburg, lovely food, staff and coffee! What more could you want. Will definitely be back!
Awesome! Food great location. Reasonable price$. Me and my friends went this morning and I tried their Chilli scrambled and it was the best one I ever had.
Pros:
always wonderful staff.food delicious and tasty.
Cons:
Cost of living makes this quite an expensive Cafe. Price increases and surcharges means $100 for two to have a mushroom breakfast with juice and coffee: (
Nice and quiet place to have a quick bite. Staff is wonderful and there is something for everyone. A must try if your in the area.
Black burnt bacon, overcooked poached egg, everything barley warm-cold and burnt coffee. $7 surcharge for ordering with their QR code for some reason on top of the already expensive food. Not even busy morning so very disappointing, wouldn’t bother again
Had takeaway food from here the service itself was poor also the food was very average looked undercooked
Popular local eatery with historical displays. Just need to remember “in one door, out the other” (sort of like imprisonment for the term of your natural life!).
Overall good place considering it gives you access to some “history”.
Food Ok, not bad. Though portions are comparatively little for what they charge you for.
For example either Hallumi or Chicken burgers have proved insufficient for my Breakfast as well as brunch hunger. If I remember correctly chicken burger is good $22. So, if it doesn’t fill you, seems no good VFM.
Service practically inexistent, at least on Saturday brunches (my usual time to go there).
Yet there is something charming about the place.
I guess the history.
Was told this morning that the only place they would sit me (1pax) was at the bar overlooking a stinking compost bin - also on the bar, about 10cm from where I was going to eat. This was despite there being small 2pax tables inside (that were not reserved), and many tables outside (also unreserved). There were also single people sitting at 2pax tables inside already. But apparently theyd decided that now they don't sit 1pax anywhere but at the bar. This was after I'd waited 10 minutes for a table to come up. Rude and unnecessary. I'd of spent $40 on breakfast, I live locally, and I was trying it out instead of my usual at The Glass Den. Don't bother, go somewhere else.
Me and all of my mates we came here and the service was ages I really disliked the service and the wait time was really weong
Very nice place! I recommend the chai latte <3 helps that the servers are cute too (hi meevis)
Great plant based options and friendly staff and clientele. The option to big up my flat white was much appreciated mid-morning!
I just can't get over the coffee and breakfast at this place, my kids just love having brekkie here. A great place to hangout, with water fountain for kids to play.
Firstly after I drank a full cup of tea, the second cup I went to drink had a dead cockroach in it. Furthermore when I announced it to the more senior waitress her response was “well I’d didn’t put it there, but I see your disgusted face”. We then said well we ain’t paying for the other coffee and we will go elsewhere to which she replied with attitude, “you do you”.
What a joke. You serve me dead bugs and attitude. Great service
Rude staff that have long conversations in front of customers before even thinking about starting their coffee
I love the vibes of the cafe.
The coffee is perfect.
There is a variety of dishes.
Food is amazing.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming.
Overall is fabulous place.
Great little location, historic prison surrounds with beautiful old designs.
There is qr ordering individually or ordering at counter (no split bills).
It would be about $30 per person for a meal and coffee. Iced mocha and eggs benefit were great. The table favourite was the halloumi burger.
Nice food but spoiled by poor waiters service.
Needed to ask several times to place an order then table sat with dirty dishes for over 30mins.
Thanks Stuart for facilitating our party it was so easy talking to you and you were looking after us with all the best quality service and food. I didn't have to do anything but gave you the number of people attending and food intolerances. Thank you again highly recommended for any special occasions.
