Looked like they capped tables based on staff numbers which is really good to maintain quality of service instead of filling tables if they're empty

An experience only as take away coffee. Walked in and order x2 iced lattes and x1 iced coffee. The price was over the top for all the drinks and the surcharge for soy milk was more than any other place. We also got charged a take away fee as well.which I do not understand. The iced lattes were in small take coffee cups and not straw cups. Making $9 for them ridiculous. The place looked nice and the food looked decent from what I saw. But wouldnt return from our experience.

Met up with some friends for coffee and lunch. The staff were just amazing, welcoming, friendly and helpful. Couldn’t rate them higher. The food was very nice

Great service. I had a chicken burger so I should not expect much flavor. Maybe some sambal on it would have made it much better otherwise great.

Food was delicious. My whole family enjoyed breakfast very much. The meals were fresh, hot, non oily and full of flavour. Highly recommend the coffee, very nice and not bitter. The staff where friendly and polite. Our meals all came out in a timely manner and served with a smile. Great view of the lake! Highly recommended 10/10. Will definitely be back next time I am in Bendigo.

It was confronting for 80+ year olds to be refused entry to sit on the verandah 20 minutes before our booking time was due. There was plenty of room and some of our party had already been admitted and were seated there. Most unwelcoming.

Have a one-day visit in Bendigo and stop by The Boardwalk for snacks and a short break. It is located near the lake, making it a wonderful spot to dine on a sunny day. They offer both outdoor and indoor seating with spacious space. The staff is very warm and welcome, and the food is delicious, reasonably priced.

One of the best cafes I've been to in Victoria. Great waterfront view, delicious reasonably-priced food and excellent service. The staff were very attentive, efficient and worked great as a team to make sure every patron was well looked after. Bonus points for all the luscious indoor greenery!

A fabulous, lunch experience. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel very welcome and were extremely well looked after by all staff. The team were friendly and helpful. The food Was 5 Stars, very tasty. Highly recommend the Avo Smash. Clean empty plates all round. Our party of 4 adults and 2 children all loved it. The Boardwalk was full of character and very clean. Our first visit to Bendigo and this was our first stop, we will definitely return here.

I've been there before and after the last time, I wanted to go back. Its a great place with lovely coffee. I went there this morning for a coffee in the shade on the balcony. There was only one small table left on the balcony and it wasn't really in the shade. So, I asked if I could sit at one of the 6 seater tables, even though I was by myself. There were plenty of them available at the time. All I wanted was a coffee, but I was told they were for 6 people. I could see that, but I didn't intend to be there long. The waiter said something about an "influx". On a stinking hot day like today, I'm sure there will be, but it hadn't happened yet. He offered me a table inside, with the same view of the lake. I'm an outdoor person, but I didn't tell him that. Instead I said, So, if you're by yourself, you're not as important? I probably shouldn't have said that, but when you're by yourself, as so many of us are, the morning coffee is an important part of the day. I don't think I'll be going back.

Picturesque location on Lake Weerona with a bright and airy dining space. A relaxed spot for lunch in Bendigo, close to but away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. The menu has some Asian-fusion inspiration alongside classics, with plenty of vegan options. Food was tasty (we had the Kaiser Chief - potato hash, halloumi, beetroot relish, poached egg - and fish and chips), if slightly pricier than I’m used to, and service excellent.

But Not the Food.

Please save your time and money for your family and do not come here if you need to make the smallest change to your meal. Mother in law just wanted a piece of toast, unfortunately you are not aloud to remove the eggs from the toast. She has allergy’s to egg and does not want the slightest bit of it on her toast.

Meal was warm not hot, atmosphere was great until another patron would not restrain her dog from persistent barking, all the other customers near us were not happy about the noise from this dog When we mention the problem with management they responded "you will have to take it up with the owner of the dog" THIS NOT ACCEPTABLE We feel the management is gutless and we will not be going back if that is their attitude

Great place to relax and enjoy the world as it passes by. Staff are excellent and attentive.
Continues to be a great place to eat and share time together in such a beautiful setting

Awesome food and great friendly staff, only thing I could critisize is that I wasn't 100% sure on where to pay until it was pointed out to me, and they are very busy on weekends so bookings are essential if you want to eat there

Food, Coffee and smoothie all taste good.

Came back to Bendigo after a long time and visited the Boardwalk which we have been numerous times when we lived here. We just wanted to sit down and get coffees (I even said we will be 15min) with the nice view but we told its only for sit down meals. I understand if the venue was packed but it was not and I could see other patrons just sipping their coffee (I waited about 15min for a takeway coffee so yes I could see all movements). Disapointing!

Incredibly friendly staff, food was really yummy plus a great view overall wonderful experience

Fabulous place. Staff were amazing, it's refreshing to be at a cafe where they actually care about the level of service being delivered. The food and view were fabulous also!
