The Bear House Restaurant

The food was very big portions and very tasty but it was busy and we had to wait a long time for our food to come out as they do a lot of take out and I don't think they employ a lot of kitchen staff. While not the fault of the staff on duty who all tried their hardest to make my night pleasant. But if I am going in to a restaurant, I do not want to wait that long for my food. You need more staff cooking.

Will definitely be coming back for more dinners to come, the fried rice, salt and pepper calamari and prawn dumplings were mouth watering! And the espresso martini! Don’t get me started with how good that was.

Decent service, weird atmosphere but food was very poor. Ordered duck and the cut of meat was so bad I couldn't eat it. Buddha delight also disappointing, no flavour, odd texture. Fried rice was average but I could at least eat this one. Would not go back or recommend.

We had a birthday dinner with friends and the food was delightful. They've got good customer service. Highly recommended.

Great service. Very friendly staff. The owner was very accommodating when my mum asked for a cushion to sit on. Great to see the place full of customers. Great food too.

Purchased Vegetable rice and pretty bad smell came out. Cooked rice seems to have "gone off".
Not recommended.

We just ordered take away, everything was lukewarm. The "honey" chicken was more like undercooked deep-fried chicken which came with the smallest amount of honey sauce that wouldn't even go around 1 person. I'm also a small eater. Only giving 1 star as I can't give ZERO.
I've also contracted food poisoning

Was a nice relaxing atmosphere, the food was all delicious and there was so much of it! Staff very friendly and they were able to accommodate my food intolerances easily. Very impressed, we will be back!

This place makes THE BEST EVER curry laksa! They wrap the containers so well that when you get your takeaway home it's not all over the inside of the bag like other places. Highly recommend. Yum!

Food and customer service was really good they even gave us a call before arrival to organize high chair for baby. Tasty food with good quantity. Wish there was some milkshake in the drink menu.

Very disappointed, we ordered three hot dishes, two came out barley warm and one was uncooked, we didn’t eat at all but still paid. Will never go again

Bought two dishes last night from this place worst Chinese food I've ever had in my life overcooked meat was dry no flavour at all woman behind the counter was rude not interested in taking my order not only the worst Chinese food probably the worst food I've ever tasted in my life my spirits was very disappointing the only good thing about the place the building is beautiful

Service was appalling. 45 minutes before our order was taken including drinks. Meals came out randomly and and often cold. My son's pork dumplings were under cooked and cold. Had to ask for everything including water. No one asked if we wanted any more drinks even though our glasses were obviously empty. Water was not replaced. Only positive was the meals were of generous size and had decent flavour.when not cold.

Great food and service, disability access is extremely poor, with toilet door opening to a right angle wall to get to full size bathroom, but my electric wheelchair found it extremely difficult to negotiate the wall.

Amazing restaurant to eat in and takeaway. Their food is always fresh and does not leave you with a sick feeling after you've finished your meal. Very fresh n healthy. This is my regular go to for yummy great Chinese food! Thank you bear house!
