TarraWarra Estate reviews
74Great place to have a glass of wine or coffee and enjoy the scenery. Staff was friendly. Nice outside seating with shade from the trees facing the pond, vineyard and hills in the background. Nice building and particularly like the rammed earth walls around the restaurant!
Most beautiful winery I've visited.
The meal was fabulour for starters onwards, the dessert To-Die-For.
Very enjoyable experience. The winery is in a beautiful setting and the Art Gallery is certainly worth a visit. We enjoyed a lovely 3 course lunch and the meal was adequate and very enjoyable. Table service was also very pleasant and friendly. Would love to visit again in the future.
Absolutely delicious. We had the set menu and chose our own wines. Food was top end and everything about the experience was perfect.
We had lunch from a set menu and have been absolutely blown away by the experience here. The service was incredible, the staff were sharp and always refilling our drinks we never had to ask. The food was fine dining and simply just perfect, every dish was outstanding and left us wanting more.
The atmosphere was brilliant, we felt relaxed and comfortable. Finally the pricing versus the quality of food is top notch, I've eaten at fine dining restaurants where the pricing was double what we paid here and the food here was just as good, if not better.
5 stars, I couldn't fault our experience and will be returning as soon as we can.
My favourite winery in Victoria. The views and tranquility is lovely. The degustation is a must for foodies. They cater for vegans and the highlight was a warm vegetable dish with yolks made out of tomatoes. The menu changes frequently not seasonally so it's possible 2 weeks later you might experience a different menu.
Had a special lunch to celebrate my wife's Birthday. Service was excellent, food was fantastic and the TarraWarra wines served with each course went perfectly. A great lunch experience.
This is a huge winery with massive buildings and fantastic views over the estate. Big restaurant area. Only 1 or 2 beers at the cellar door but Lots of wines. We only used the cellar door as we were late afternoon arrivals. Plenty of parking. Great to visit.
Enjoyed the lunch menu for our anniversary!
I'm usually a little apprehensive when it comes to set menus but was thoroughly impressed with every dish here.
FAVOURITE
-Mushroom Parfait with the mushroom tea accompaniment was DIVINE!
Decor, architecture and ambiance was on point - super cosy with a fireplace in their dining room too!
We dropped in to have a coffee and visit the art gallery. The landscape and architecture of the property are very modern and make for some great photos.
Coffee was okay, they don't have almond milk so I tried their Oat milk late.
There were quite a few visitors for a Thursday lunch time inside the restaurant, the gallery and the cellar.
Tarrawarra wines are very very nice and we have eaten at the restaurant before so might plan to dine in on our next visit.
Had a tasting with friends after going to the museum. It wasn't the best experience. The cellar door wasn’t that busy but the host wasn't accomodating. I find it bizarre and standoffish. Wouldn’t really expect that at all especially when the cellar door wasn’t busy and she had the time to talk to us.
It was a good one off visit, not too keen to come back.
Every course was so delicious! I would highly recommend it! I never thought about beetroot being the star of a dish, but this beetroot risotto was so fantastic! The staff were lovely and attentive. The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming inside, and the grounds are great to take a photo of and walk around. I thought the restaurant would be bigger than it is; if you are planning to go on the weekend be sure to book because it does book out fast.
Stumbled upon this gem when searching for a good restaurant for our anniversary lunch as the one we always go to was closed on a wednesday (Am so glad they were closed because otherwise we wouldn't have found tarrawarra). Excellent service and amazing food, we had the 4 course set menu and every course was so unique and mouth watering. The presentation soothed the eyes. We cannot wait to be back here soon.
What a great and lovely place to visit and have lunch - the layout of the whole estate wonderfully landscaped and architectured, the chic and cool cellar door, the professional staff and last of all the great food menu and at a very reasonable price for the quality that you get. It was a great lunch in a beautiful and homely feeling and thank you to all the staff at TarraWarra for making it a memorable birthday lunch for us.
Small portions but love the food and love the view.
I’ve been there a couple of times.
Update 4/4/2021
This used to be my fav winery of all for a long time until now! My friends and I bought two bottles of wine and we paid $62 for two bottles of wine + $20 extra for just some wine tasting which wine tasting used to be free 2-3 years back if I bought some wine. After having our wine, a friend of mine bought the same bottle of wine for $32 and he was asked if we wanted to have wine there so that he was charged another $10 which we didn’t pay the first time nor asked the question when we bought two bottles! Besides, my friend realised that a group of ppl were not satisfied to pay extra $20 just for just wine tasting as they wanted to have wine there and the fee was waved for them! So my question is that why are customers served differently?
Very friendly staff and enjoyable wine tasting experience. Cafe Located in a Splendid estate overlooking pond.
What beautiful location with a unique tasting room build into the side of a hill. Very pleasant and knowledgeable staff. Lovely experience.
Incredible lunch here. Everything was so unique and tasted fantastic. Our waitress was lovely. The interior is delightful and has beautiful views of the vineyards. Also did the $20 cellar door tasting, which was nice too (although wish the $20 was refundable on a bottle of wine if you choose to buy)
Lovely to walk around after lunch too!
Today we experienced the most exquisite flavour combinations that were complimented by delicious wine and fantastic service.
Thank you for a lovely Mother’s Day lunch. Everything was delicious and it was a really nice experience.
