TarraWarra Estate reviews
74We had a lovely dining experience. A very interesting but limited menu. Truely enjoyed each dish. A great Chef at TarraWarra. The staff were wonderful and took time to explain the ingredients in each dish and to attend to your individual needs.
Great to sit at the patio with a paddle and soak in the environment. Snacks and coffee also available to order via the QR code on the outside table. Not all samples on the paddle taste great to my liking.
Delicious four course lunch with very fine wine - reserve Chardonnay and reserve Pinot noir. Excellent service in beautiful surrounds.
From the moment you approach the restaurant from outside, you just know it’s going to be amazing. The view is one of the best in the valley and I could have stared at it forever…but I had a reservation and it all just got better and better. The staff know their craft so well. Attentive, prompt, courteous and just really lovely people. Then the food arrived…OMG… generous portions and stunningly presented with flavours that just tick every box on the palette. The chefs are geniuses and just know their produce so well. And let’s not forget their wines. They are some of the best in the Yarra Valley and the staff know exactly what to pair with any dish.
The entire experience is 5 star without being pretentious. I can highly recommend Tarrawarra Restaurant for that really special event, intimate lunch or just a casual catch up with old friends.
Highly recommend the lunch of you are open to Australian cuisine blended with spices and innovative flavours. Had the 3 course lunch on a Friday. Other then the menu items, the bread with curried butter topped with dukkah is something I would go back for.
What an amazing wine estate. Family owned. Friendly staff. Some really good wines and an informative wine tasting.
Always a great experience visiting TarraWarra. Our wine experts were informative and engaging. Great wines.
We were there celebrating my wife’s birthday and we had to deal with one of the not so welcoming or friendly waitress unfortunately.
Happy with the ambiance and the facilities but disappointed with one of the waitress staff's attitude.
We could see and feel the difference we were shown in form of talking to and treating us like between us and other diners which was unfair.
Was very happy with waitress Grace though, she was very nice and polite.keep up the good work Grace.
Food was good and the cuisine was bold and innovative and wine tasting was very good.
My guests who actually dined with you were very happy to report to me afterwards that the meal and service provided were wonderful. They highly recommend Tarrawarra.
Delicious food as always. TarraWarra makes that special occasion meal so much more special! The four course meal was out of this world. We’ll return soon and thanks again!
Absolutely brilliant lunch! The food was very special with great service and of course wonderful wine. Be back soon!
Superb, beautifully presented food, excellent friendly, informed and wonderful service in a stunning setting. Absolutely perfect on every level and a special experience we will remember.
Highly recommended as a very special dining experience.
What a joy it is to dine at Tarrawarra. Attentive service, presentation par excellence, eclectic ingredients in a beautifully designed space and outlook.
Joel is directing their kitchen here now. My previous experience was with Mark Ebbles. Some big shoes to fill. The restaurant is in good hands. Some dishes were simply outstanding others reflected the skills only acquired with experience. Joel is one of those chef's that embodies those skills. The Egg Plant dish was just fantastic. I won't describe it here.make a booking and find out for yourself. You will be stunned at the service directed by Darren. Our table was attended by Olivia who was charming and knowledgable about the whole menu.
Guys what an experience for our group at lunch on Thursday 28th April.
Perfect table service by staff who really know how to be professional. The food was the same, just superb. And of course the wine, matched to each part of the course just right. Highly recommend but you need to book a long way ahead as you’d expect.
Beautiful food and great service by very attentive and knowledgeable staff.
Thank you for a great afternoon.
We had a very enjoyable wine tasting and lunch at TarraWarra with 4 of our friends. The estate buildings are in a lovely vineyard setting and the cellar door and restaurant are very attractive and comfortable venues. At the cellar door we were very promptly settled at our table and provided with water and our first wine tastings. Our server provided very helpful information and gave us an appropriate amount of time to taste and chat with our friends. We tasted 8 wines and I particularly enjoyed the Roussanne Marsanne Viognier blend. We then moved to the restaurant where we enjoyed an excellent 4 course meal (actually 5 courses if you include the excellent sourdough and exotic spiced carrot, plant based butter. We enjoyed all the dishes which were delivered in an unrushed manner, and were comfortably full at the end of the lunch. Thanks to Michelle, our server, who provided outstanding friendly and helpful service. Overall, some very good wines, excellent food and excellent service in a lovely setting.
Beautiful venue tucked away behind the trees! Some great photo opportunities, nice relaxed venue to chill in the shade! Very relaxed environment!
Truth be told, the 4 course set menu - at $95/head - was disappointing. The dauphine potatoes were incredible, as was the sourdough bread. All other dishes were fair to good but certainly not what worth the price tag. Beautiful place though and the sidney nolan exhibition was mind-blowing.
Beautiful location and simple but stunning interior design. Great value four course lunch with beautifully presented meals, fresh and seasonal ingredients and wonderful service.
