Tao Dumplings reviews
71Super yummy dumplings, good value too. My favourites are the pan fried vegetable. Service is attentive as we sit outside with the dog. Would recommend.
Great food (tried a big viraety of different dishes and there wasn't anything that we did not like) and pretty standard price ck sidering the location of the restaurant.
Food was excellent. Dumplings were yummy. 2 x dumplings, 4 x mains, 2 x rice. BYO wine = $100 ÷ 4 people. Great value. Lighting and general ambience just right. Service excellent
Amazing food food and it you get a table upstairs the atmosphere is great but you can still hear each other
Delicious dumplings and a recommendation from my Chinese friend who knows all the best places for authentic Chinese cuisine.
Very affordable and great quality food. The fried rice and singapore noodles were delicious. 5% off the bill if you pay with cash!
Simple weeknight dinner that lacked ''wok hei'. Price is reasonable, but there is just something packing in the flavour. Doesn't really stack up against the competition nearby.
Me and my friends constantly eat here. Some of the best dumplings in Melbourne for a fantastic price.
One star for catering for dietary requirements. My friend booked a farewell dinner on Friday night and was very specific that 2 people were coeliacs - requiring gluten free meals. The restaurant had assured her that they could cater, however, we were served meals that clearly contained gluten - had to ask lots of questions and were told quite flippantly 'Yes yes it's gluten free'. The two coeliacs ended up with rice and steamed broccoli. Tao Dumplings - please do not tell people you can cater for dietary requirements when you can't, it is so unfair to the people that book.
I've been here a handful of times and the food is consistently delicious. My go-to dishes here are the steamed dumplings, pan fried dumplings and steamed Chinese broccoli with garlic sauce.
If you're planning to dine during their peak times (Friday & Saturday nights) then it's best to make a reservation.
Excellent food and quick service - friendly with tables on two floors and sidewalk outside service. Very impressed by presentation despite the very reasonable prices. Don't overlook the many options of dumplings. Wide selection of other chinese dishes. If chinese food isn't at the top of your list the place next door also has great fish and chips.
