Tao Dumplings reviews
71Food are super delicious and cheap! They need to improve customer service though, not very friendly environment.
Definitely the worst fried rice I've tasted in my life. Yang Hou fried rice was void of taste and If you look at the pics not much effort was put into it.
Decent Chinese food with your usual range.
Rice was a bit dry.
We ordered a beef dish which didn’t look like the photo at all. It was still quite nice but would have been nice to be mixed with some veges.
Dumplings were decent.
Prices were reasonable but if not getting dumplings then probably more suited for ~4+ people to be able to share multiple different mains.
We were sat near the door on a cold day and the door was kept open so it was quite cold.
Food was delivered.
First of all took them two hours after consistently calling them.
They refuse to help and we extremely reluctant of owning up to their mistakes.
They gave us the wrong order
And there was no way of contacting them.
The food they had delivered to us was disgusting,
Had no flavour and tasted a lot like cheap cuts of meat although the seafood was okay.
Granted the initial order cost $250 & we only received $30 worth. Extremely disappointed.
Dined with friends at Tao Dumplings and found it excellent. We had a number of different dumpling dishes to start, all were equally as good as the next. We also shared a number of mains including salt & pepper calamari, lemon chicken, king prawn omelette. Food was great, drinks were usual exceptable restaurant prices and it's BYO wine. Will definitely be back.
My wife and I love coming to Tao Dumplings. We always get their pan fried chicken and prawn dumplings. Light pastry, juicy filling and overall deliciously crispy. Was sad we couldn't go during lockdown so we just had to make the trip down once we were able to. Highly recommended.
Takeaway/delivery and dumplings usually don't mix but Tao's hold up incredibly well. The pork is the best of the crop, though all of the dumplings we tried were top-notch. Only problem is that it's impossible to stop eating them.
Nothing like Sweet and sour pork ribs. The ribs are salty and soaked in a pool of juice.
You really need to pay attention to quality of the meat as it’s not fresh at all.
The veggies are crunchy and fresh. But who would ask for tons of veggies with pork ribs?
Excellent food, quick service and very friendly. We also had a fifth person show up and they accommodated us without any issue. You'd better book though it's very popular.
The menu is super clear with allergens and the food is really yummy and affordable, its BYO, portion sizes are great and the presentation is really impressive (sizzling Mongolian chicken and chilli wontons)
Delicious food at reasonable prices. It's always busy, always loud, and the service can sometimes be a touch slow, but it's because they are working so hard to help a full restaurant. They do all the classics, and do them well! One of my favourites.
Amazing food and the quickest a meal has come anywhere that I have been! All dishes were so fresh and really tasty. My favourite is the prawn and chicken chilli dumpling. The best!
We had dinner on Friday night, always busy and crowded on weekends here.
The clay pot chicken and black bean beef were too salty with heavy sauces, but large portions.
Chicken and prawn dumplings taste really good. Highly recommended the dumplings.
The fried eggplant and vegetarian Szechuan chilli dumplings are delicious! The best Jerry! The best. Prices are very reasonable too.
Very poor service. First time my partner and i went in, they took forever to serve us (wasn't even busy) so we left and went elsewhere. Gave them a second chance and ordered dumplings (was fine) alongside a few other dishes, one of which was quite hard to eat being a beef based dish- after trying one piece of the meat which wasn't easily to eat, asked to swap it for a replacement meal straight away but they refused which was quite unreasonable and shocking. Would've been satisfied with just a simple replacement. Don't know of any places that would be so harsh. Will be avoiding in future.
First time there. Food was excellent and well priced. Definately going back with friends. Great vibe and very busy. Wait staff quite good.
Ordered stir fry rice noodle with beef (干炒牛河), rice noodle itself was very oily and also bit bland, beef was bit tough and dry. And most importantly lack of wok hay. Just not the way is supposed to be
Very yummy for dine in or take away. Great food, and it’s pretty darn affordable given the good quality. Dumplings are great!
I always have a great experience with this restaurant. Delicious, prompt delivery, helpful staff and surprisingly good value
Really nice dumplings. Would recommend pan fried pork & chive. The fried rice is also really good. Lots of seating & can get a table on a weeknight without a reservation.
