Tao Dumplings

The sea food soup was great. The second dish, noodles with shredded duck was very disappointing. One small bite of duck meat and the rest was only duck skin. Will not be coming back.

Sadly our steamed pork dumplings were delivered stuck to each other big time. Such a pity, they were just a big mess. No one wanted to eat them

Food was overloaded with chillies and most food choices were spicy. Average service standards. Disappointed with overall experience.

The Absolute Worst food for Chinese food the Fried rice had no flavor and many hairs in it. I took a picture and showed them and they refused to give my money back. If the Fried Rice is Bad the rest of the food is Bad Avoid at alll cost BEWARE And Stay away We also received Food Poisoning

Takeaway was terrible. Fried rice was gluggy. Noodles were gluggy, stir fry was bland. Only half decent thing were the pan fried dumplings which arrived soggy.
Wouldn’t bother eating anything apart from the dumplings from here.
Uber eats took 1hr to arrive because there were delays with our order.

The very first place we ate at when we came to Melbourne. Came here for dinner, food was great and so was the ambience. Small and cozy place.

I ordered their Pan-Fried Pork Dumplings.
As per my request, they were delivered with chilli oil, soy sauce, and Chinese vinegar.
The dumplings were warm and packed with flavour!
Absolutely delicious!

Dumplings were really good, as were the duck pancakes. Everything that was served was fabulous and very reasonable prices.

I've ordered from Tao maybe 15 times. It's always super delicious, with high quality ingredients, and carefully packaged. Their dumplings, curries and speciality dishes are all excellent and have never missed a beat.

One of the best Chinese eateries around. For smaller dishes I love the prawn dumplings, pork ribs and chili sauce wonton. Their main dishes such as lamb and seafood are really good too.

Great food, but the staff need to improve their attention and presence. Too many moments where we couldn’t hail a waiter while the floor was empty.

It was a big mistake coming to this restaurant. Food was not delicious and the service was slow. We ordered two entrées, one is Pekin duck which was served rather quickly, but for the second one, deep fried tofu, we waited so long that the other 4 tables arrived after us (3 tables of 2 and 1 table of 4) received already their main dishes, yet we didn't have our tofu and main dishes. We asked the waitress for it, she simply said that she already asked kitchen to make our dishes without giving exploitations regarding to their erreurs. The two main courses we ordered was crisply chicken and seasonal veggies in garlic sauce. The chicken was half warm and half cold. The meat was super dry and flavorless. The seasonal mix veggies was full of MSG and they used canned mushrooms, bamboo and baby corn. That doesn't sound very reasonable, does it? It was a terrible dinner. Do not recommend!

Make sure you have proper facility for delivery drivers, my husband fall from your stairs at back (pickup point) as your so called wooden stairs broke. So be aware for other guys as well.

Pathetic restaurant with pathetic customer service. Racist waiters working here. I requested table for two, (me being brown) was denied entry. Two white couples came in without booking were allowed instantly in without any delays. When asked why its this way, I was told because they were whites and will be spending more then me.

When I first ordered from Tao Dumplings two years ago I was blown away. Ordered the Laksa again and boy, what a disappointment. No flavour, defrosted seafood, if you can call it that, and a watery milky soup. The dumplings were still great but everything else was just sad. Why not make an effort when selling food?

I was a terrible service I’ll never be back, the manager was very rude and disrespectful. Uno star is too much.

Waited for 45 minutes and got the most horrible dish I've ever had. It was burned and had no flavor. Has the price of salt and other spices gone up to high or just because a $20 dish doesn't deserve the attention of the cook? I would highly recommend this place if you want to experience some dark cuisine.

Chinese dishes not tasty, flavour not as what that food should have, not enough salted, but still can eat as a meal
