The course and tuition are perfect! The student services, specifically course planning are appalling. I missed their call so immediately called back, kept on hold then told they had another appointment! Poor work ethic, rude reply, the first and last time I will reach out to them. Such a shame for an otherwise wonderful university.

Don't study in the arts. Largely bad teachers. Found better feedback on my work from online strangers then from 4 years of literature teachers here. My more academic subjects were passable.

I did some post-graduate subjects at Swinburne Although it has some good courses, it feels very oriented towards just "getting a qualification" rather than providing a rounded education. And I wasn't that excited about some of the curriculum. But maybe I'm quibbling; it has a lot going for it.

It was a privilege to have completed my BEng Hons Robotics and Mechatronics from this world-class university. The faculties are great are facilities are way better than the top universities at my home country. For Mechatronics engineering Australia is highly-recommended

I watched teachers belittle students and I ended up graduating with a degree despite being taught nothing. If you are looking to study media, go anywhere else.

I come across with Swinburne University, by chance while checking around courses for science. Haven't been to school for the last 31 years, you looking from where to start. So, I enquired, and suprise I've started Certificate III for further education. Very welcoming, understanding to what want to to achieve. The class is with different ethnicities and backgrounds, and cultures. The part I like mostly.

Undergraduate enrolment experience consistently unhelpful, dismissive and at times obstructive. 'Live chat' not answered for hours, telephone calls not returned for days - repeated attempts handballed. Emails unanswered.

Crushing experience for a teen trying to navigate an adult world. Definitely best attempted by the very thick-skinned.

Career advisor at secondary school told us not to bother applying to Swinburne, guess they knew something we didn't.

On the plus side, teen has accepted first round offer from a higher ranked institution with scholarship.

I would caution anyone considering studying towards a Business related Postgrad career change because I did exactly that I am struggling to find a job and it is not just because of the situation happening now. The course was outdated and they only made some changes recently, too late for me. I am an Australian Citizen but just can't seem to break through the market, it could be discrimination because I am Brown skinned as there was a White Australian female student in my class who completed the course last year as well and found a job straight after. I now have a huge HECS debt.

Swinburne Online- no words for the nursing department and this course! Find somewhere that will support you and not "professionally suggest you unenroll from this course" even though you are more than passing.

Great university and open space to chill. Lots of shops and cafes around even tho they're a tad expensive

AVOID STUDYING VIA CORRESPONDENCE!
They treat you like a 2nd rate student and severely limit your options for work experience when doing teaching.

Graduated from Swinburne many moons ago, I lost my certificate and transcript. I called up for help. Heath was absolutely lovely, guided me through the entire process with plenty of patient. The service still as good as 1999, love and missing my time with Swinburne. Thank you.

I currently study online through Swinburne and am having a great time! The online resources are easy to access, and the leaning advisers and support staff have consistently been incredibly helpful and supportive.
I'd recommend only study through Swinburne to anyone considering it. Just be aware that you need to be focused and motivated, as it is so easy to get distracted whilst on the web!

Very complicated web site. And unorganised. I requested academic transcript and got a one with lot of mistakes and had to pay 20 dollars for wrong academic transcript. Worst student service ever.

Never believe what you see, the learning experience of the language courses here is quite bad. Their teaching system basically failed the test of Chinese students to make profits. This is definitely a disappointing thing because of some bias from the teachers.

Overall really good. Enrolment process sometimes is abit all over the place and slow. But a great Uni to study at.

Avoid at all costs, waste of time, waste of money, official complaints not taken seriously

I’m not an alumn, but I was enquiring in the chat about a course I WAS interested. When I asked the guy Rhys why do I need to put my email and phone number to start the chat, and I asked him to confirm that my details are not being use for a data base or to send me newsletters that I don’t want or that I have not signed up, he closed the chat, leave with no answer, no explanation and bad taste.
