72Great vibe in supernormal. What they do is a bit of fusion Chinese. Love the dumplings there, not the traditional Chinese dumplings but quite tasty and crunchy.
Great food but really slow service. Compared to chin chin which is fast this was super slow. Much better experience first time I came. This time was a bit disappointed. Need to work on service so many staff but doesn’t seem to have the process in place where you are taken care of straight away. But the food is very delicious
Lobster rolls were tiny but bloody delicious - would go back just for that. The scallops in butter are also a must if you go. Only reason I'm saying 4 stars is because the staff were a little weird.weirder than your typical hipster.
Great atmosphere. I had the vegetarian banquette and it was interesting, but it’s probably not a restaurant to go to for vegetarian food. No protein so it’s not satisfying, and it’s not very diverse.
Everyone who had the normal menu loved it:)
Don’t know what all the fuss is about. We had a banquet, of which less than half the dishes were in any way memorable, the rest quite bland and uninteresting. Relentless up-sell from the otherwise friendly and efficient staff. Extremely noisy and very expensive. Add to all that I went home hungry.
I eat here at least twice a month. Chefs are inventive and cutting edge.
Even with food allergies my wife and I eat like kings.
Service staff are top notch!
Inspired modern flavours, lively atmosphere, attentive staff and an overall top dining experience with a added bonus Street Fighter arcade game in the basement. Sat at the bar for a more casual dine. The lobster rolls are an obvious must.
Some dishes are very good but some are not.
People loves fusion food in Melbourne but some dishes tastes little confused. Trying to adopt a lot of Japanese elements and that’s great but some dishes are they are trying a little too hard and loosing the falvour and freshness of the ingredients which is the core of Japanese cuisine.
However, overall it’s good restaurant representing Melbourne food culture.
Service was incredibly slow, we did Banquet 1 and the first few courses were great and at a good pace. After the appetizer dishes we wait for over an hour for our main course. Food was good, not spectacular, but took far too long.
The best food in the neighborhood/city. I'm sure there are other places but the food here made its way to the list. Side dishes that add substance and heft. If only there was more where that came from. Prices are reasonable compared to other places, but then again, each person has their own idea of reasonable. Had the meal a while back but I still remember it like it was yesterday. Stop by and give it a shot.
Wasn’t blown away but loved the interior and all of the food options. I think we just went at an odd out and were too full to try anything substantial. Overall the ambiance and service was amazing though with very attentive and friendly staff. Would love to go back again eventually
Went for a late night bite when a few other options were full. Service was smooth but a touch robotic, the food was fantastic though - especially the raw seafood platter, the lobster rolls and the dumplings. The crunchy prawns were fantastic too. Great wine pairing ensured a really pleasant experience.
