Walked in on Sunday at 3pm and staff happy to find a table.
Haven't been for over a year and still is amazing Had the boa Duck and peanut butter dessert. Loved the doggy bag.

Soy based tuna with avocado - we saw the next table getting this and looked amazing and had to order it ourselves. The proportion is just right. The tuna is perfectly season (not too salty) with the crunchy radish and soft avocado. The lovage sauce with ginger is out of this world. Phenomenal dish.

Crazyyy small portion, the taste was so-so nothing to shout about and last but not least not worth the price tag!

9th time back in 5 years and the lobster rolls are still to die for! Oher dishes are still just as tasty, service still impeccable, if not better, still got its boujie vibes, and it still the place to be seen and eat at

Very good food. However, I found it really annoying that they offered a huge range of quality drinks of every type - except beer. What a missed opportunity. Different types of beer (eg sour beer) would go really well with particular dishes. This made them seem a little behind the times, when in other respects they definitely aren't.

Standard street food, didn't find anything that stood out. I don't think it is worth the money. Felt $43 for lamb soaked in salt and have to tear apart yourself, very over priced. I think this type of dining is very much short lived, they definitely need to up their game or reduce their pricing.

Needless to say, this restaurant is exceptionally good - there is a reason why there is a consistently long line of people waiting to get in.

The food is flavorful and well-balanced. Nothing is too heavy and everything is fresh and delicious.

If you are a group of two, try to get a table rather than a seat at the kitchen bar. If you’re going for lunch, definitely make a reservation first.

Do yourself a favor and don’t miss out on the Lobster Roll!

The food is okay and the service is way too slow. The waitress are friendly. The food tasted fine but nothing special. In the end it is an okay japanese fusion restaurant

We came here on a Saturday for lunch. Excellent service and beautiful restaurant. We had a really good time and the food was served very promptly. The food was a bit hit and miss unfortunately. Some absolutely stunning dishes and other fairly average dishes. All dishes looked amazing and were plated up beautifully. The Whole Snapper was the standout for me and the prawns as appetizer was also terrific. The duck bao was also great and the asparagus was delicious. The scallop dish tasted good, but the scallops were so shriveled that I couldn't actually taste scallops, only the other ingredients, the Kingfish was a bit bland, so too was the tataki which was also really chewy. Akachochin do an insanely good tataki by comparison. The dessert was probably the biggest letdown for us. The poached meringue was not really for me. The shiso flavour just overpowered everything. 50% of the dishes were great and 50% percent were average. We spent around $240 for three people and we were all pretty full afterwards. All in all it was a really fun time and left satisfied. I would come back but probably not in a real rush.

Impeccable service! Went in solo for a quick lunch and was served by the most loveliest girl. Loved the vibe, definitely plan to come back. Highly recommend the prawn and chicken dumplings!

Great service, amazing food. We had a few food allergies, intolerances and requirements and they were on top of each one and made it all a very enjoyable experience. Lobster roll and desserts stood out

Great ambiance. We got there early and propped up at the eating bar right beside the kitchen. Got to hear and witness the evening briefing by and to the chefs Team who were clearly world class and high end professionals. Really interesting food - beautifully presented. Friendly helpful service. A must-do Melbourne venue.

What an amazing culinary experience. 4 of us have tried and shared 6 different meals and could not find any which we did not love.

The Lobster Roll is absolutely a must-have item from the menu.

The service was great and our waitress has recommended the items we have had for dinner. She was very attentive but not disturbing constantly. She also had a very good menu knowledge.

I hope I will have the opportunity to visit this restaurant again and again.

Great food with some interesting twists. The range of options and primary ingredients is good and dishes are interesting so try a few if you can, including desert. Beverage and wine list is also good. Staff are friendly and professional and know the menu. Recommend booking as it can get busy. Access is good, being in the CBD and commercial parking is available nearby at usually decent rates.

Insanely good! This is now my new favourite place to eat of all time! The technique used to create the dishes was something special and new and I loved every dish. Best lobster roll I have ever had and best cauliflower I have ever had!

Food was ok, not outstanding. Service good with easy to choose from wine list. If I’d waited for over an hour for the table I wouldn’t be impressed as they turned us out as quick as possible. Will admit it’s still as fun spot.

Order oysters, rock flathead, brocollini.the best was oyster. Cant even finish the pan fried custard, it was too sweet; while the spice latte sort of tasteless. Overall, food portion was small and it's really super "normal". Definitely no reason for me to go back.

We arrived late, had a great feed, and our waitress was the most helpful and kind human maybe on the planet. My friends had a bunch of annoying dietary requirements and the staff were incredibly accommodating. Plus it's fun and it looks great.

Scrumptious food and table service. The wait was long.which is understandable for a Friday night. Disappointed by their lack of communication, and ended up waiting for an extra 30 mins from the time promised
