I’m quite picky, but my experience here was decent. While the flavors may not be overly bold, they are harmonious and refined. Highly recommend trying the lobster roll. The staff is friendly and helpful.

A stylish interior and a good central location with yummy food. We only had a few dishes as most didn't appeal to our tastes. The New England Lobster Rolls were on the very small side but they were delicious - so we had two each! We had to sit at the bar as the tables were booked out. (I'm not a huge fan of sitting at a bar as it's uncomfortable and harder to eat). A lot of the dishes are small, cold or raw so if you're not into that then this place is probably not for you. The larger mains are pricey and mostly meat dishes. We really enjoyed the very good espresso martinis.

Enjoyed a wonderful birthday evening with friends at this amazing Asian fusion restaurant.

The staffs were very attentive and professional throughout the meal. They had frequently poured water into our cups when they were empty and changed our plates when they got dirtied by the seasonings of the various dishes.

The food definitely surprised me, as many Asian-fusion places in Melbourne normally leaned to the westernised dishes rather than an Asian flavours. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how this little gem on the other hand leant itself more towards the Asian palette still with the little twists that we love the Asian-fusion cuisines for. Though, the peanut butter parfait salted caramel that we had for dessert was a bit too much on the sweet end of things.

Needless to say, the $85pp gourmet menu can be a bit pricey. However, each course was very generous in the amount of food that was served. Yet be warned for the 10% Sunday surcharge that is the usual for all city restaurants.

All in all a wonderful experience and I would love to come back to try other dishes that they offer on the menu.

This place has such beautiful Asian fusion food, ambience, and service. The duck bao and scallop dumplings were delicious, and the bread with the avocado dip was divine. The decor is very modern and trendy. The wait staff were lovely and friendly. Definitely not cheap eats but we will be back!

Food was good. But not amazing. There was five of us and had the 120 per person meal.
I think that it was not enough food for this price.

A solo meal can be a very nice experience when on a work trip. My visit to Supernormal was just that. I chose a simple dish.wagyu intercostal with Korean spices with steamed rice and a lager beer. Great purity of flavours and I had a perfect view of the kitchen pass. What an efficient team.it was very cool to observe a crew in full with no raised voices and a few smiles. I gave a 4 star rating of the service only because I was informed as to how I should eat my meal. I'm an expert in eating and had 20 years experience on my advisor. I know how to eat rice and meat!:). I only wish I had time to eat more from the menu.

Service was good, food in gereral is good, though all of us 5 found the main dishes a bit too salty.

It's been a long wait, and I wasn't disappointed. My friend and I ordered the Banquet 2 option, and everything was fantastic. The stand out items were the sesame flatbread with whipped garlic, the lobster rolls and the striploin. Our waiter - Jack - was excellent. Attentive, funny and had excellent timing to pop up and clear plates, tidy the table or fill drinks. There's a knack to providing this level of service without being intrusive, and Jack had it absolutely nailed. Thank you to your team for an excellent evening.

We ordered the Banquet Menu 1 and added the lobster roll. Highlights were seared tuna on nori cracker, lobster roll and the desert.

I had booked this restaurant as it had great reviews but was a little disappointed as the menu was more Sichuan influenced than Japanese influenced.

Alot of the dishes in the banquet menu had chilli in its marinate or sauce, so wasn’t quite suitable for our son. We had made a request for the dishes to have the chilli sauces separate, which could only be catered to for one dish (the dumplings). Had the team advised us that it was not possible to separate the chilli for most of the dishes in the banquet menu, we may have ordered something different.

We also thought the pace of the dishes being served wasn’t up to par. The first 3 dishes were served quite quickly, which set an expectation that the rest would follow in a similar pace. However, we had to wait a good 15-20 minutes between each course after the noodle salad course. Also thought the serving of rice with the lamb course should be doubled, given there was alot of the good sauce in that dish that needed more rice to go with it.

Banquet menu was acceptable for portion and quality, heavy overbooking caused the time between courses to be quite long, meal took around 2 3/4 hours to complete which was far too long.

This place is buzzing with energy. Excellent service. Plates are definitely made for sharing as the flavours can be quite powerful/salty. Small portions and not many vegetarian options though.

Loved this place. It's not a quiet place but we go as a family and we are quiet loud so it is perfect for us. And the food.it is super delicious.

Everything about this place is to die for! The food is incredible and the vibe is so gorgeous too.my partner and i went here on a date night & we just had the best time. The food basically gives you a wow factor as it hits your mouth.one of my most FAVORITE restaurants in melbourne

The food here is so good, my brother cried the first time he tried it. This, sadly, is not a joke.

The food and service were amazing we will definitely be going back. We ordered the larger banquet and some additional dishes (we were hungry) but turned out the banquet had plenty of food so slightly over ordered (still managed to eat everything though). The person I was with doesn’t like fish so they were very kind and substituted the raw fish dish in the banquet for an alternative that was equally as tasty.

I'll only point out the obvious - your front-house staff are wonderful people. They're trained well and they genuinely care about the guests. The food is what keeps me coming back. I could taste that slow roasted lamb from my last visit, which was nearly 6 months ago, before I even arrived. Of course, the chefs delivered! Despite being such a large venue and somewhat industrial in decor, the ambience is conducive to a good afternoon conversation. The place is alive with a buzz of mirth and chats from across the room. 5 stars are perhaps too modest for feedback. Bravo!
