Sugar Buns Bakery Cafe

Always a great time at sugar buns! Nieces LOVE the carbonara and mega shakes. Never had a disappointing meal.

Went for lunch today with my wife, we tried the food previously and it was good but this time was a shocker, they brought my wife's chicken salad about 15 minutes before my mixed meat platter, after complaining about that issue they rushed my meal in and after the first bite I nearly choked, it was very very spicy and they didn't have any information that says it is a spicy dish, it is a health hazard.
Will never go there again

Had lunch here with my boyfriend a couple days ago and OMG the food was so delicious! I highly recommend the Chicken Parma and we shared the Chocolate Overload mini shake! Will be coming back for sure!

Just bloody brilliant! I’m obsessed with how they cook their fried chicken. It is so juicy and melts in the mouth but has a great crispy coating. The chicken burger is definitely the go to but the chicken Parma was also amazing! We finished off by sharing a “mini” freak shake. Don’t let the word mini fool you though. Will be back and soon!

Always love going to Sugar Buns, food is always appealing to the eye and delicious to match! Highly recommend superfood porridge

I usually Dont write reviews but with this one I should,
The lady who her name is Clarissa was very rude and racist.
Sugar Bun is very multicultural place. I Dont think some people like should work there and bring the quality of the service down.

My husband and I shared the corn fritters for breakfast. Absolutely scrumptious. But the Chai Latte, my drink of choice, will probably rate among the worse I have had. Tasted like plain, water milk. That was disappointing

Really disappointing that this place has gone downhill.
Initially the service was very slow and poor. Our drinks, followed by the food, all came out at seperate times, so we were waiting for the other person to get their dish while the other person’s food was going cold.
The “French Toast” I’d ordered with no fruit, came out supposedly “without fruit” according to the waitress as she placed it onto my table, however it was piled with bananas. To make things more disappointing, the toast wasn’t actually toast it was a actually a burger bun. The sesame seeds, which did not go well with the egg, ice cream and sweetness of the dish. The syrup they had poured onto this dish was also very strong and did not suit the dish.
Just really upsetting, especially when I’d been there before and the use to be good.

3 stars for the hot drinks, but 0 for the staff, not professional or in uniform, owner can’t hand over our drinks in hand because he is busy talking to his mates rather than being a manager

Visited multiple times. Great yummy food. Looks and tastes great.
Mini shake is still alot. Can share among two to three people.
The salads were so fresh.

Always got great service with my take away coffee. I would love to have the time to stop and and eat a meal. From what I've seen they look great. It's a busy place, lots of people eating here, just reinforces the quality of the place. The coffee is awesome here. Highly recommend.

Edit: Have now eaten here a few times, I wish I'd eaten here earlier, the food is awesome. You won't regret eating here.

This place is not what it used to be. I had the Parma which was probably the worst I’ve had in ages. Not sure why they used relish instead of normal tomato sugo. It was also cooked questionably which resulted in me being sick!

Kind staff and great service. Our food came out within 10 minutes of placing our order and nothing was wrong at all. All of the food that we got was definitely above standards 100% recommend this little cafe.

Another unexpected discovery, after scanning the menu, I decided on the warm chicken salad. Wow! Wow! Did not disappoint. The flavours were delicious, sald fresh and seasoned perfectly.
Coffee was also very good.
Will happily recommend sugar buns.

Loved this place! Just witnessed the best burger I’ve ever had. The recommendation from the staff was totally worth it, SB souther fried chicken burger just blew us away. Amazing hospitality. Totally worth a visit try:)

Was originally drawn here by the cool looking freak shakes but because it was cold I opted for the mega hot chocolate instead!

Sugarbuns Fried Chicken Burger ($25) : This was triple stacked! The chicken was sooo juicy and the batter was very flavourful. With crunchy slaw to cut through the grease, this was worth every calorie

Chicken Parma ($19.5) : Juicy chicken patty with a delicious tomatoey chutney sauce under some ham and cheese. Can’t go wrong with a classic!

Mega Hot Chocolate (Biscoff) ($17) : You can choose between Biscoff, Nutella, White Choc & Cookies n Cream. This was so indulgent with the giant cookie and fairy floss on top!

Iced Coffee ($10) : Came with icecream and milk but the milk to coffee ratio was a bit off so the coffee taste was very light.p. S both our mains come with chips and they’re really really good fries? If you don’t get them in your meals i definitely recommend ordering a bowl on the side

I loved going to sugarbuns Cafe:) the food was very well presented and the flavours were combined nicely and at the perfect ratio. They were also friendly and brought out our food and drinks at a reasonable time:).

Great milkshakes. Well presented food. Great place for a catch up with friends. A must recommend

Service was really bad…literally everyone in the staff was avoiding eye contact or not there. When I went to pay the cashier said ‘$17! I wouldn’t pay that much for the mega hot chocolate’…I just laughed awkwardly and walked off though I’d have to agree with him… But what kind of staff says that about their own dishes and drinks? Makes the customers not want to buy them either. The mega hot choc though presented well, tasted extremely average and not worth it
