Waited outside for a table but the food was worth the wait.
Service could of been better, impersonal ordered starters, and mains everything came at once.
The food was authentic and ssooo good!

Excellent Greek restaurant north of the CBD. It was perfect for a quality lunch after a visit to the old prison.
Lots of people come to eat kinds of kebabs served in a restaurant style, because they are good and not expensive.
A little more expensive but to die for, try the menu. We tried the lemon lamb and some sort of beef stew. It was truly a marvel.
The welcome is good and the service fast.
The stalactites on the ceiling add an atypical side.

Ordered the roast and it was drowned in sauce and dry at the same time. Food was really poor unfortunately.

The food is delicious, the atmosphere is great, and the service is great! The finger meat is delicious. The scones and fried squid are great. Highly recommended.

They are always busy because of their food quality if you are in the city and would like to have a Greek-style meal here is my recommendation.

There is nothing better than a soluvaki with feta. Don't forget to order a lager with ur dinner!

Good food but were told we would have to wait an hour for the platter so ordered the souvlaki instead, which was good. A bit overrated I would say.

Tasty Greek food in a cool atmosphere. There might be a long line outside but it moves quickly. Service is very prompt, this isn't a place for a long drawn out meal.

I love Stalactites and always have. Not only is the food delicious and reasonably priced, the customer service is absolutely spot-on. We came on a Wednesday night to fill our stomachs with some great Greek food. We ordered the mixed lamb and chicken platter with Greek salad and chips. We also ordered pita bread and tzatziki dip. The flavours were so good and the meat from the spit was just divine. The waiters and workers at the restaurant were consistently friendly and frequently said ‘thank you for coming’ and ‘how is the food? ’, which made us feel very welcome and appreciated. I will definitely be back for more! No complaints! (And not even the sharp stalactites hanging precariously on the ceiling will scare us away!)

Update: I came back to Stalactites and once again thoroughly enjoyed the food, this time ordering the mixed gyro platter and spanakopita. Thank you for the consistently excellent service and delicious Greek food.

Souvlaki and chips are really tasty but are slightly under-salted. Add a bit more salt and it'll be 5/5.

Understaffed and busy as hell on 2/01/2022 but still wonderful service, the food was cooked absolutely perfectly but just bland.

Tasty food for a very reasonable price. Service overall was really good except the wait on the actual food coming to the table from the point of ordering.
To note, it was busy but the wait was still long.

This would have to be the best kebab I have every had. The meat, sauce, filling, salad, the whole lot was amazing. My wife had the vegi option and my son had the chicken/lamb plate. We were full for hours. For the 3 of us it was $100, which might seem a little steep but I would be happy to pay again. Sorry no photos.

Stalactites is a well located Greek restaurant in Melbourne CBD. They have a great menu with a wide variety of traditional dishes. The portion sizes were large and we would love to head back to try more.

Excellent food served by brilliant and attentive staff. Great selection of food at very reasonable prices, do yourself a treat and make a reservation.you won't regret it.

Quick service, short wait, and delicious meats with salads.
Glad we waited in line for it! Was one of the best meals I've had in Melbourne.

Service was good but the food has no flavor, I think they boil the meat because it doesn't have the smokey flavor.
