Stagger Lee's Cafe

Staff were friendly, very attentive and the cafe had a great atmosphere. The food was amazing and the coffee was great too. The truffled mushrooms are my new favourite food.

Very tasty and quality food. Also I liked being called 'babe' when asked if I would like hot sauce.

False Advertising! What you see is not what you get unfortunately.the chef is rude, lazy and argumentative. Customers are not valued here.

Nice and tasty cakes and beverages. Good place to take a break. Friendly staff and cool ambience. Good crowd, busy but not overwhelming. Reasonable prices. Would come again.

Come for the food, not for the service. I’ve been here three times and the food has consistently been delicious, but the service is atrocious. No acknowledgements when I walk in, just take a seat and hope they’ll notice. Given a menu and left to wait for ages for my order to be taken. I saw several people walk up to the counter where the staff were all hanging out, chatting. Weekends can be busy, but even during the week service is poor. Don’t market yourself as a table service establishment when you can’t serve a table.

They serve amazing brunch so I had to be back. I tried several options and I definitely recommend you to do the same. They have also coffee and soft drinks there. Place is nice and interesting design inside. Service was really kind and friendly, helpful when it comes to recommendations. It's not a big place but it's worth even waiting for a table for sure. Cool spot to meet up with friends as well as eat on your own. Recommended

A cozy cafe in the centre of Fitzroy. We had a couple of lattes and two meals. The lattes were on point and so was the lamb / hash brown / Hollandaise.

If that’s all we had this would’ve been a 5 star review.

Unfortunately we also had the Namaste - a kimchi quinoa salmon bowl. The flavours didn’t blend nicely at all. Also they name didn’t seem quite right.

Good food.but absolutely put off by the staff member who followed us into a neighbouring shop and said 'do you guys know you forgot to pay' hoping to embarrass us as dine and dash customers. We had definitely paid, and she hadn't checked the till or confirmed with any other staff. No apology either, just walked away and left us feeling weird. It's a one off situation but it's made it incredibly cringy for us to go back now.

Some good vegan options, Melbourne-standard coffee. Although, second time I got my coffee only 30 minutes after ordering, when I reminded them. Same as person sitting next to me. Very busy.

Great service, coffee and food. Honduras Espresso was really nice with jammy fruit on the back of the palate and nice clean acidity, piccolo also had nice flavours of rich caramel. 'The Mexican' dish I had was full of flavour and a good size, being offered green and red habanero chilli sauces was a nice touch. Service was very prompt. I recommend this place for sure. I'll be back to try some other dishes at some point.

Delicious food, the BEST soy latte on this planet, only bit pick is there weren't many children's options (Not offered anyway). Had my 10 yr old with me and being 10.wanted something less delicious and more waffle/pancake like.

I love this place! The Mexican breakfast and the brisket toastie is life! Have a batch brew or two and then hit up a bloody Mary.

Great food and decor. Unfortunately the coffee was bitter and even after being remade was still not up to the usual Melbourne standard. I wish I could have given this place a higher rating but unfortunately cannot.

Small meals for the price, I got the Mexican the egg was raw, flavorless, chorizo dry.chilli ginger beer was ok.

These guys open earlier on a Sunday than most cafés on Brunswick St, which is why we ended up trying them out. Excellent coffee, breakfast and service. Will definitely be back!

Came here for a family breakfast, laid back very cool atmosphere. The food and coffee were brilliant, and I enjoyed the non so common dishes, there is a good mix of sweet and savoury to choose from, and a few items for lunch. They serve Proud Mary coffee, if you’re a serious coffee drinker, you know what that means and I don’t have to elaborate! The staff were friendly and up for a chat. The breakfast tacos were amazing. Defs coming back to try something else.

I came in by myself for lunch, and it was surprisingly lively for a Tuesday afternoon. The service was friendly and my food came out quick. I ordered the breakfast greens which were delicious, but I would suggest adding a protein side to help supplement the meal and fill you up a bit more. I would return to try something else off the menu.

What I like about stager Lee's is that their menu keeps changing and has good variety. You can expect good quality from stagger Lee's. Though, their magic could be better.
