The burgers are fantastic here, highly recommend the soft shell crab in squid ink brioche bun. We came as a group for Friday lunch. Food was fantastic and staff were really friendly and pleasant, would have been 5 stars though service was a bit slow and a couple of people at our table had to wait longer or got an incorrect order.

We recently celebrated a baptism function here. Everything was seamless from start to finish, everything thought of and confirmed. The upstairs space was amazing, it is so light-filled and the furniture beautiful. All our guests raved to me during and afterwards about how great the event was, and the food was sensational! Highly recommend for functions, and we will be back to try the cafe downstairs!

I had a birthday dinner at Speakeasy Kitchen Bar on Chapel a few weeks back. The food and cocktails were absolutely amazing. We got a bunch of small sharing plates and some of the desserts. My favorite dish of the night was a Korean friend chicken dish. The staff were really friendly, and even helped up out when a random person got a bit too friendly with the group. Great food, drinks and atmosphere!

Great happy hour prices, which is what enticied us in. Nice little 'outdoor' area out the back, only had drinks but food looked good.

The guy that makes coffee on a Sunday morning has truly awful customer service skills. Aggressive and clearly doesn’t want to be there - nobody is making you, pal! Third time I’ve just walked straight out because he is so unwelcoming. Won’t be back.

We went here for a function and found the venue to be great, we were upstairs. The food was great and the service fast with clean bathrooms. If you're looking for a private function room it is a good place to consider.

Plenty of healthy options at a reasonable price. What really blows me away is the presentation and attention to detail that goes into every dish. Every meal is instaworthy!

Great place. I come here quite often for a coffee or breakfast. It has a great section out back, like a little secret garden in the heart of South Yarra. Good coffee and the food is quite hearty.

Great venue, plenty of seating. Great cocktail menu. Don't miss the happy hour specials either. The food was great, ask the chef if you want anything different in the plate from what's on the menu.

Good beer garden, big heaters to keep you warm in winter. Nice happy hour specials of wine and cocktails. Good menu, eat to get a table for dinner or drinks.

Super friendly staff, great atmosphere, especially in the outside area. Food is delicious, service is good, bar has all the drinks you'd expect, great place to grab a bite and chill for a bit.

Food was awesome and staff were amazing however, chefs were arrogant when it came to GF options on the menu. After choosing a GF option we found out it was prepped in same oil as gluten. Given how sick friend would have been the chefs decided to further eyeball us while we ate and flip us off at the end of the night. The tiny bit of gluten could have ruptured the small intestine. Good food, great staff, arrogant chefs.

Ordered a dairy free breakfast. Two bites in I realise that it contained some kind of soft dairy cheese. Now I feel sick. Refused my refund request.

Loved breakfast at speakeasy! Food fantastic, great tasty flavours. Si healthy. Excellent service and brilliant set up. Will be back again next time in chapel St.
