SIA Essendon Medical Centre

I’m surprised at the low ratings at this clinic, I’ve always found the reception staff polite and the doctors are pretty good, the nurses for immunisations are fantastic I always feel comfortable coming here.

I used to be able to book my doctor and the time that suits me without extra charge, now I'm forced to pay around $70!
Now, I am told to walk in and get assigned whoever next available.

After reading the below reviews, I realised it is in fact just a pathetic excuse of a medical centre. Rude unfriendly reception staff, and money hungry practice. Wanted to charge me $100 to see my 6 month old daughter because we arrived a couple minutes after 6pm. Best of luck with that business model, especially considering there is a great medical centre only minutes away with state of the art facilities and incredible reception staff and doctors OF WHOM BULK BILL EVEN AFTER 6!

Dr Tran and the other practicing professional at this clinic are great. They listen and not only hear the patient. I wouldn’t go anywhere else in the area.

Terrible experience. Unethical billing practices. Rude and arrogant reception staff. Disinterested doctors. Very impersonal. Just care about money

Used to be the only medical centre I would consider going to, but now, the near extortionate cost of appointments, the constant restraining of bulk billing times, the rude young bloke on the reception desk and the repeated instances of only one doctor being rostered on offering patients a 2 and a half hour wait - Great to hear when all you are after is repeat scripts.

Get back to what made you good in the beginning, actually offering great service to patients, not money grubbing.

Waited almost 2 hours to always be told "it's not much longer". I had to walk out. If I treated my customers like this I would be out of business.

Dr Panos is the best paediatrician we have found and has now become our family doctor for the 3 of our family. He deals with our 3 yo beautifully and makes dr visits easy, even when we are having bad asthma stress! He has got me through major surgery last year with care and compassion. And when Bill was away post surgery, dr Brodsky and Dr Sia were equally wonderful in assisting with post surgery consults and wound checks. Sasha is a lovely receptionist who always greets us with a smile.

Casey is the rudest receptionist I have ever encountered in my life. She needs to be removed from the front area of this medical center.

I only go here if I have to, if it’s the only place open! The doctors there are bad you could say, except for one doctor who is actually good! Once I had to wait for 30mins just to have a checkup? ! Don’t waste your time and money go somewhere that is more accurate.

Why is it that only the most miserable people are willing to do this medical reception job. It’s horribke experience having to deal with their negative attitudes every time Ive has to go in. I have just found a new medical place nearby to go to as these ladies at the front are just a nightmare.

Overall experience was good.the manager Connie there was most wonderful and helpful.doctor Lahini is the best.can’t guarantee other doctors are good too coz the first one I saw didn’t know what he was doing.pharmacy next door is the WORST.went there twice because it’s convenient, but had the worst pharmacy experience in my life.it’s strange that they seem to have the same name but have such a huge difference in customer service.

Claims to be open until 10.00pm but found it closed at 9.15pm. Lady unlocked the door to advise the doctor had decided to go home. Interesting business model?

To Tracey at the front desk. You obviously hate your job and the customers that you face. Please move on to a non customer facing role. Your attitude is horrific and you have lost me a customer due to this lady being at reception.

Brilliant! I highly recommend this doctor office. They are genuinely caring and helpful.

I can't speak highly enough of Alison a psychologist works there too. Who is very easy to talk too. She saved my life this weekend when I planned to commit suicide. Can't THANK her and the doctors enough.

They are are great team of specialists. Which also bulk Bill too.
