Elderly mother had abdominal pain. Rang surgery to ask if they were accepting walk inns the receptionist said yes I put my unwell mother in car took directly to clinic and was told by receptionist that I had to make her an appointment, time was 3pm next available appointment was at 7.40pm. I took mother home returned at that time for appointment.
Called in to see Dr.who did not acknowledge us when we greeted him in his room. He turned to my mother and said what is the matter.my mum said pain in abdomen he said go onto bed my mother is 84yrs old and needed assistance to get on /off the bed the Dr just stood there no assistance given to help her get up or down the steps. Her consultation took all of 5 mins where he said she has diverticulitis.and needed antibiotics if pain doesn't go away in few days take to hospital.
He did not take any form of history regarding her bowel motions or diet.no temperature to see if she had fever, no blood test or any other procedure to confirm such a diagnosis. Nor did he give instructions on what she should or not eat to help with current symptoms.my mother had never had any history of diverticulitis.
At reception to pay my mother was charged full consultation $102.00 with rebate even though she is a pensioner, plus an extra $1.50 for me using my credit card.
I don't mind paying for the professional medical services for the care and well being of my loved one, but the lack of service and empathy did not leave me reassured about the diagnosis given to my mother.

One stop shop as I had my consultation, got my Flu Vaccination, submitted for blood tests and collected prescription from the Chemist.

Would not recommend. The GPs are fine once you get to them, but the appalling reception staff and systems make it next to impossible to see one at a reasonable time. Eventually after never being contacted for over an hour after my Telehealth consult, I drove to the clinic. Reception staff just bark at you and don’t listen to you explaining your issue. Was then left waiting twice on separate occasions before and after xray for hours in clinic, sent to incorrect waiting rooms unnecessarily within the clinic despite not being able to walk, GP in the end hadn’t even been told I’d arrived. A half day palaver, which I paid through the teeth for the privilege. Incompetent staff abound.

This place is run by what seem like inbreds.truly a clown show that the best circus would envy. Avoid at all costs, this place will make you more sick.

On hold for over an hour to book an appointment and then told they only bulk bill during the week what a joke not written anywhere stating that

Sia Medical Centre Essendon up to there normal high standard had my no fuss 4th Covid shot today.

I haven’t been to Sia Essendon for a few years as I moved suburbs however I needed a night appointment for my 3 year old & they were able to get us in at the last minute.
We saw Dr Richard Sia, he was really lovely. Very empathic & caring.
We did have to wait 45mins which was frustrating when we booked an appointment & my daughter was very uncomfortable & crying, But overall happy we got to see this Dr.

Dr Panos was great and check me out throughly which is exactly what you want when you head over to a GP. Thanks Bill!

Fast and efficient and Dr Jason Chua goes the extra step to not only check on patient's health but also follow up, I will see him again and again and highly recommend his services

Dr Yek is a thorough and caring professional. His referrals have been fantastic and his ability to untangle complex medical issues is excellent.

As a new patient i was very happy to be able to make a last minute appointment for my son. Staff were very helpful. Didn't have to wait long and Dr. Panos was brilliant. Highly recommended

Whilst I do appreciate how busy it gets the online won't let me book online saying I have to telephone. I am currently on hold and have been for 25 minutes so it's going to go longer and am at position 3 in the queue which is where I have been for the past 10 minutes. Not appropriate customer service. One line should be for making appointments and another for those who want to bang on to the receptionist. Update to this I got through after 1 hour and 11 minutes. Got my appt but fobbed off my the receptionist when I asked for an explanation to be told they're busy. Employ staff to man the desk and another lot to man the phones so that there aren't long waits. Oh well 1hr and 11min of my life I'm not getting back.

I had an early morning blood test (fasting) to do, and the wait was very short, perhaps 5 minutes. I have notoriously difficult veins to get blood from and the nurse was an expert.first try success and no bruising.
I was scheduled to get my 4th Covid jab along with a flu shot, at 10.20am but as I was finished with the blood test early they bumped me up and five minutes later i was walking out fully vaccinated.very professional and efficient. Well done the nursing staff, and reception at SIA Medical

Technical difficulties leave you waiting for a telehealth appointment for well over an hour and a half after the booked time. Incredibly disappointing.

Very fast service! The third dose of the Covid vaccine was received in an instant with ultimate care and attention! Thank you SIA!

Booked via the phone, 40 minutes prior to appointment time. Saw Dr Panos right on time and couldn't be happier. Then went straight through to pathology was seen to in minutes, then out the door to the Chemist next door.

Limited service answering the phone and if it does get answered one has been on hold for a long time. The self appointment cannot be made without a credit card. Ridiculous and unacceptable from a medical service.

Dr Panos is actually human and takes the time and care to listen. Sia you’ve got a rare gem there make sure you don’t lose him, if so your losing your life line.

Exceptional service. The receptionist who greet me was so lovely and calming. Best doctor I’ve seen in a years, he actually listened to me and was able to help, didn’t try to palm me off or pressure me.

The centre is very well set up with a wide variety of services and highly flexible opening hours. Was dealt with by a very friendly and confident (if slightly cocky) young doctor. I only hope his medical knowledge is better than his general knowledge. He asked me how many nights of the week I drink. When I told him 5, he replied by saying that that meant every night of the week.
