Shoppingtown Hotel

Slow, waited over 10 minutes to order food (queue wasn't that long just slow staff) had to interupt bar staff chatting to get a drink
Meals were not great, the 6 adult meals came out at 5 different times over 5 minutes
Once finished we were twice asked if we would like the table cleared, we said yes and both times a couple of things were taken and the staff member never returned to finish

Staff was pleasant The food less than ordinary. Wasn’t very busy Food took 45 minutes to come to table. My husband ordered calamari he said tasted ok the chips served with it was a bit dried out. I ordered pea and halloumi fritters. Awful. It was peas and flour batter fried up outside was over cooked and inside dough with peas. There was 2 on the plate ate one but not the other. Left the place with a sore stomach. Not rushing to go there again.

The band venue is fantastic. Big open space, great views from everywhere, great sound system.
The bar staff were quick and friendly.
I am thrilled that the suburbs have such a great venue.

The bistro was also really good.
Food is upscale but still reasonably priced and and the vibe is family friendly.

The rooms are basic but clean.

Great food. Lousy service. Wait 5+min in a 20 plus line for food. Then one guy on bar. Another 5+ min wait. And it was only a Wednesday. What happens Friday and Saturday night?

Bistro has a lovely feel & a great kids area.
Drinks well priced but food is very overpriced for what you get. To make matters worse we wanted to order the roast of the day & was told it was not available because the chef forgot to put the oven on.

Ordered soup of the day which was tomato and capsicum. The concoction I got would be best described as spaghetti Bolognese minus the spaghetti. It's hospital food.but not like a good hospital either.

Absolutely disgusted with the service. We waited over 2 hours for our food and on the third attempt to find out what was going on they apologised and asked if they could start preparing our meals then. Got my money back and left. Never again. Do not reccomend.

Ideal for a business traveler, good hotel food.

Pretty ordinary when dinner & show is supposed to start at 6, but the doors don't open until 6.20. Then only 1 barman. Improved from there. Food was good and bar service improved.

Waited 1.45 hours for cold chips and cold vegetables. Only to be told, shoulder shrug, "its busy". Very disappointing. Wont return.

Reception was very professional and the rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet, which was all important for us. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant and it's great the hotel is within walking distance of Doncaster Shopping Centre.

We had a fun time there at the New Year eve dancing!
Wishing they could open their doors on every Saturday night!

This fantastic hotel is set in the heart of Doncaster offering you a range of delicious meals at reasonable prices with an amazing view of the CBD this open bistro is wheelchair friendly you can and wine and dine while you eat they have a kids playroom so the parents can take some time out there is even specialty nights
If you want to go and see a show they offer that to just ring up and find out whats on the motel there is nice

We enjoyed great city views of the early New years fireworks thanks to the efficiency of staff member Luke obtaining a window seat for us after a bit of a wait. This table supposedly had been put aside for us when booking however that didnt happen so Luke to the rescue. This venue has the best views of Melbourne especially on a fireworks night as New Years Eve last night was. Also a great atmosphere as the staff were wearing masks etc

Great choice of beers. Great food. Exceptional views of the city. Top place for a quiet bite in the evening

Very, very ordinary. Little hilter in Bar/Bistro needs to be moved on. He’d be better placed in a detention centre or a home for brainless people. Checkin took 4 times longer than it should, meals are ordinary at best, accommodation is not something to aspire to and then, to have to deal with little Hitler, well, it’s just not acceptable. This hotel needs to employ people based on their IQ, not their age. Overall, wouldn’t stay there ever again even if it was free.

Location and view spectacular. Food average to good. Service great. People on the table next to us were feral.

Had a great counter meal in the TAB area, which while still a little pricey was considerably cheaper than the same meal in the attached bistro. Friendly staff and good service all the same!

Decent Decent pub food, the Pimm's could do with a bit of jazzing up. Service was the same as any other RSL style venue.
