Shoppingtown Hotel reviews
80Absolutely love this place. Customer service is awesome and we’re always looked after so well. The food is amazing but do wish more options were available.
We wish to thank Zoe and the staff for assisting our son’s 21st to be a successful and memorable night. They were always pleasant and accommodating to our requests. Especially being able to have access to the room well in advance of the function time which allowed us to put decorations up and being able to come in the next day to take them down. Our function was held in the Galaxy Room which is a great space with a mix of indoor and outdoor. Guests also enjoyed all the canapés selected, but especially the delicious hamburgers which were from the gourmet menu. Many thanks again. Xx
We went to watch Skyhooks so we were in the ballroom. The meals were a set menu and delicious! The service was very good.
Outstanding customer service from TJ. He was very busy manning the service desk in the foyer and managing the diners in the bistro. Very cheerful and attentive. We were getting 5 star service at the Shoppo!
Perfect venue for a large gathering. Staff very willing to accommodate merging two bookings so we could gather and celebrate together. Thanks!
Went once at the end of lockdown. Venue mostly observed covid safe procedures. Excellent drink specials. Margherita pizza and Parma are both great. Staff mostly great.
Bistro was lovely. The staff is friendly, great atmosphere and great food.
After dinner went to see the 80s band playing there, the music was amazing, bar staff a little grumpy though. Staff at the door entry were amazing both on entry and exit. It's a great fun night if you see a band there.
2 July 2021.
Lovely inside, clean and presentable. The meal! Ordered Mains Salt & Pepper Calamari & salad. Ate the salad & chewed on 1 piece of uncooked calamari & chips. Left the meal. Was like eating cornflour clag.
So disappointing. My salad was out of a bag, green tomato. Not going back. When plate was collected, was asked if we would like the chips left on the table? I explained they & the calamari were inedible & undercooked. He advised that he would tell the kitchen, gone.no more said. We finished our drinks, didnt even bother with coffee & dessert.
What's wrong with todays Taverns & Family friendly Pub style venues? Quality food at a decent price is getting hard to find. I don't mind paying if its good, but not over priced, under delivered food served without pride in quality. Dont these businesses want people to come back?

The sky is grey, the temperature was burrrr.
This is a great venue to catch up with friends for lunch.
I did not have a good look at one of lounges in previous visit because the curtain was drawn.
I make sure I order my porterhouse steak blue next time, because it was overcooked for my "rear" order. For seniors meal, the meal is thiner, and the cooking time should be reduced.

The bistro is located at within the Shoppingtown Hotel. There are levels of open air carparking space, but the front entrance is at the third level.
Despite being multi-split level, it is a very wheelchair friendly venue with ramps installed just next to locations where steps are found.
The gaming room is within the building, on the left after entry from the front door.
The dining area is fairly dark. It is made worse with very bright light coming through large plate-glass windows. It is rather difficult for the eye iris for some people to adjust quickly in response to contrasting light intensity.
Despite that, it has roomy and with good ambience.
Our group order senior meals at $9.99 each. I have Porterhouse Steak with Chips, Vegetable and Mushroom Sauce, while my wife has Battered Fish and Chips with vegetable.
The dishes are cooked to near perfection, because I prefer my steak to be a little bit undercooked. The portion sizes are generous and therefore they are great value for money.
Very nice ambiance with very good service and food was O K. Used the rear Terrace area which was nice with a beautiful view to across the Melbourne skyline. Easy parking out back. Would be really nice for a party of friends on a nice day for lunch.
My fiend and i have lunch today and very nice food.we play pokies while car servicing.nice decorarations and very welcoming especially to be out from rain outside.good hide out and i want to come again soon.
Tab area needs a consistent closing time, sometimes i come into get a meal at 4 or 6 or 8pm only to be told 'oh we are actually closing in 5 mins'. Frustrating.
We have been here a couple of times on a Saturday night. The food is your normal pub food. The main eating area is really noisy. There is a function room next to the main dining room which is only separated by a curtain. You can’t have conversation at the table even amongst a small group.
Always a good special on in the sports bar here. Well-made and good value pub classics on the menu, friendly staff as well. The lads and I love getting on the sesh here.

It’s a very serviceable bar and pub. Good atmosphere on the back deck and prices are reasonable.
Tidy venue, large carpark, spacious gaming lounge
And Attempts (expected from given suburb) up class experience. Somewhat of an okay attempt I guess.
Over the last few years, unfortunately the hotel has lost its flavour. Food service is long and painful. Collecting plates etc is the only service that is good. The range of drinks is less that I could see. We won't be back until we hear it's improving. Don't think Covid-19 is affecting service.
Fabulous location and facilities! Staff went above and beyond to make sure my stay was memorable. Would highly recommend!
Saw Russell Morris and Brian Cadd last night
Perfection at its best
They are better then ever
Was a great night
Thanks so much we loved it
