Shoppingtown Hotel

I ordered a bowl of fries and when they arrived cold and I asked for them to replaced. I had the fries returned refried/ reheated. Pretty cheap move that leaves you wondering about other kitchen practices.

Hey Porscha and team, thanks for the memorable evening for our son's 21st. We had a wonderful time, everything went smoothly and the food and service was first class. Please pass on my thanks to Luke and the team. All our guests had a great time and loved the venue and service.

Fantastic views, better during the day to see the city. Belive me, you will enjoy it on the deck at the back especially on a sunny day. Good food 3/5 staff 4/5 space 4/5. The punters room has cheaper food than the bistro which the Parma is great depending on what mood your in and the bistro also has good food but at little more costly. Overall a great place, little hesitate after 7pm as weirdos pop in, lol. Enjoy the shopping town hotel!

Hmmm. Pokies, basic food (nothing special) and beer. Seemed like there were a lot of new staff when we went at end Nov. It's a diverse setting and they do try hard.

I was eating here tonight unfortunately as the Food was dry and bland.
Service very slow and bar staff very rude. Clearly not happy to be back working after lockdown.
Managers seem to be only working atm and it’s very bad service and slow.
Waited 50 mins for food and there was only 16 people in the room.
Had to wait 6 mins to be noticed and seated when arriving.
I think give this place a miss as they act like they don’t need your business but from what I can see they need patrons more than ever.
If you want a good meal and experience go down the rd to doncaster hotel Cnr doncaster rd and Victoria rd as you won’t be disappointed.

Service was a slow, had to wait over an hour for order to come. Once it did come wasn't what I ordered but ate it, as I didn't want to wait another half an hour as everyone else I was with had just about finished there meal. I will say what I ate was nice though.

Tonight was trial run as we are considering getting out of the house for our Xmas lunch here. I opted for the Eye-Fillet & Mushy sauce and the wife went with the grilled Salmon. Absolute Quality! Service was bang on as well. We are now booked in for Xmas lunch and can’t wait. Cheers!

After eating at a couple of the hotels in Beechworth last wk, l found that the meals that my wife and l had at the Shoppingtown Hotel disapointing.
$29 for a small piece of Barramundi and a tasteless salad (mostly lettuce leaves) the chips were nice though. The seniors meal,
Well, you really do get what you pay for, a small and very thin chicken parmi and tasteless salad and chips. Service was quite good.

Absolutely appalling behaviour by the door man working the night shift. Refused entry of people clearly over the age of 25 and threatened to break my phone upon request of taking down his details. Will never come here again, disgusting.

Always love this place, can't fault the food, staff or service.
We did book away from the kids play area near the window - which has a top view at dusk

Food was good staff lovely tends to be a bit noisy and impersonal but it is what you would expect amd I haven't tried any entertainment but looks like an older crowd mostly or large family gatherings.

Wait service was a let down, meals took a very long time to appear, dessert didn't even make the table until reminded and they had run out.

Lunch menu was delicious. They've really improved the food here. Try the pea and Halloumi Fritters. Friendly staff and easy booking online

Food was good, however we did not get our full order. When I brought this to attention of staff I was told "sorry bad luck".

We had to attend athletics in Doncaster East and booked this accommodation not knowing what to expect. We were thrilled from start to finish. The value for money was excellent. Friendly service. Opposite Westfield shopping and their onsite Bistro meals were fantastic. The beds were comfortable and although there was some noise from the club (it was a Saturday night) this died down pretty early 11pm. Very happy.

Nice food and courteous staff in general, but please make it clear that Entertainment vouchers can't be used most nights if you choose a menu item that is discounted!

Wow - there is a discount almost each night and people don't necessarily order an item on discount, just the item they like! To then find out your 25%/$40 discount is not honoured cause one person chose a steak that the venue discounts that night, is a bit disappointing!

I think this is a lousy rule when the entertainment book draws so many people in to venues like this, when they ordinarily won't come!

Worst food ever! Order Grren thai curry. It was oily, tastelesd and the chicken was grey and fatty. Took my meal back asked for it to be replaced which it was. Then ordered the chicken souvlaki which I have had before. Took meat off scewers and it was pink on the inside and not cooked all the way through. Called waitress over showed her the meat and was told it would be taken back to kitchen and replaced. Waitress then came back with the same meal I was told the chef said it was ok and that they would not be cooking me another meal as I had already sent my meal back.
So everyone at the table had eaten, a refund was given and needless to say I did not order anything else.
Will not be back again.
Very disappointed and you ruined my daughters birthday meal.
